Yeah... shame all major media content is up to 60 fps.
Gaming on smartphone with higher refresh rates is ... weird. There no really that much action packed mobile games (beside something like Osu).
Most are slow paced, turn based games.

At least I give them props for trying something new. But yeah, 120hz for media consumption is just a waste.

There is a lot of action game or racing game now, but i agree 120hz on a such tiny screen... is a bit a waste.

Also Razer do great product but that doesn't last long.

Recording videos in 120FPS has nothing to do with 120Hz screen. Sony Experia and others can record 120FPS videos for a long time now. And the major content out there is up to 60FPS which looks better on 60Hz than on 120Hz.

    P.S. I don't think anyone could distinguish 60FPS from 120FPS on a phone 5" screen

120 Hz is probably aimed at some kind of VR, providing 60 FPS to each eye.

VR on smartphone would be cool. But it's smartphone panel we talking about, not additional VR gear.

the overall GUI smoothness would be enough to count as a win for me, same as on pc

razer and trying to make hype for 120hz ... let see if this get attention from major player to follow the hype
atm gaming in mobile that probably can big is MOBA ... just look at playstore u can find bunch of copies, there are more and more duplicate with different name and skin basically

well they not the first one, apple already did with their latest ipad "ProMotion" display
but never really get into spotlight since release

wonder if any people ever asking for 120hz on their smartphone ?
because from what i guess, 120hz vs amoled display ... i bet most casual user will pick amoled anyday by just looking at the display color

Going to be great playing those shitty pay-all-the-time-to-play clone games that are just static 2D art with that 120hz monitor...

Since when does the size of the screen matter? When I switched to 144Hz the first thing I did was move the cursor and windows and stare like a dumbfuck on how smooth it is.
I have a hard time picturing someone who doesn't notice the difference.
