So, some photos of the MSI Radeon RX Vega 64 Air Boost have surfaced on the web through the typical ways. It seems that the first 'custom' Vega 64 Air Boost is a simple one.... MSI Radeon RX Vega 64 Air Boost Photos Surface
I wish Vega would have been better, a worthy upgrade from my RX580, but instead they reinvented the propeller engine.
Because it's got an AIIIIR BOOOOST!!! To be honest I found that limited edition aluminum (or whatever the material was) Vega 64 to be very good looking. If I were AMD I would go with that in the future and stop that cheap looking plastic black shroud that's like so 2005.
I'm not entirely sure its black plastic on the ref card. Its cold to the touch, and feels very metallic to me. The original backplate and vrm cooling plate are both metal, for sure. I'll check the shroud tonight, just dont want to break it
Sorry I didn't mean it's actually plastic (just as I'm not sure the limited one is actually aluminum). It's just that it looks cheap to me. Just as this custom MSI one does.
Confidence is HIGH. Check. Empathy is TOO LOW. Errr. I recommend you : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/How_to_Win_Friends_and_Influence_People
it is less expensive than reference on price list and if the PCB is reference it is a good one for WC, waterblock are more easy to found for reference and generaly less expensive. i agree, but on other hand Vega are more expensive than NVidia equivalent in a lot of country, also AMD doesn't want custom product at launch and Vega are aviable in very few quantity... it doesn't help to make effort too
Its 2017, and you are not on Facebook. "Everyone Trolls a little...." frack NO. Don't try to justify your sh*tty "Joke". You also need to look up what the definition of a joke is....Insulting people is NOT a joke. The reactions are because you have asked for them. This isn't Facebook or Twitter, and you need to notice that.
Nobody reply to him please. On topic, at least it has a cool name?(Looks at ROG STRIX 480 in computer) ....Well at least it has a backplate.
Be careful friend...some around this site take things entirely to serious. You will not find the lighter side with them...just dont lower yourself to their personal insecurities. Better yet...know when to walk away from the narcissists. I learned this lesson the hard way On topic of the card...I have this freesync monitor and I'm trying to wait patiently for AMD to release something worth the switch/purchase over my 1070
Did you buy a freesync monitor owning a 1070 expecting a true GPU upgrade was coming from AMD Vega line? AMD PR was truly a lie masterpiece, even "pro" reviewers were fooled...(or not ?):
Yep...I am a huge fool No I bought a freesync monitor because the 144hz value was equal to none freesync. There is zero chance of me buying a gsync monitor at the price that NVIDIA wants to push. The Freesync is interesting to me for those games that cant manage close to 144fps. I could lower monitor frequency and use freesync on lower fps. BTW...NCIX (linus) are arrogant self proclaimed stars. Their opinion has been biased and insulting since the day of the 290x
I replaced a 1070 FE with a Vega 56 Ref. I have it undervolted and overclocked (flashed it to the Vega 64 BIOS). It easily beats my 1070 FE, isn't any louder than the 1070 FE was (I have an ITX and only use blowers) and I already had a 32" 1440p Freesync monitor. The games I play hit my monitor's refresh rate at 70hz with Vsync so Freesync is really a wash. 1440p, 70hz/fps in the games I play, specifically FH3, is excellent for me. I'm happy with my Vega. More people should actually use the products and stop reacting to synthetic benchmarks.
You know they did not put any effort in 2017 when you do not see rgb (hate rgb on everything my self though)
