    That's an incredibly good looking Waterblock. Kinda happy I haven't got the EK one yet :)

    Why are the Vega waterblocks so big? Sure, this does look nice, but the whole black area doesn't do anything. Having a tiny cooler in some ways makes for a more interesting display, since no other modern GPU concentrates all of its heat in such a relatively small area.

    Isn't Vega a big chip with the HBM2 on it and all?

    It is, but pretty much only the clear part of the waterblock is involved with the hot part of the GPU. The rest of the black area is just decoration.

    I think it's mostly keeping consistency with the size of the card. Honestly I'd rather Vega had been a Fury size card, it didn't need to be the full length it is. However I would assume that due to Marketing and Fury response that people are still very much in the size does matter realm, not really comprehending it's the reverse for computing ;)
