Fast, clean looking although my eyes really have trouble with lots of white. I am hoping their will be a dark version of the forums, haven't had a good dig through the options to see yet. Can someone also clarify that their seems to be some posts or topics gotten lost on the journey over? Some of the responses on the Steam Bundle and my Sonic Mania post are no longer there?
Oh and it appears that MR T is no longer typing? Now I can deal with that but I certainly am not going to be the one to tell him he can;t type on his keyboard any more. No animated GIFs for profile pics I take it?
Long term, sure we can look into that. It's not important atm though. Are these old posts ? Because the ones from the weekend we lost due to migration of the database. Yeah, funny thing, if you enter your profile page it'll show the animated gif. But not in the posts. I'll note that down and check into it. No promises though.
Btw on comment -> black skin, the quote background color has been made more dark. Should be much better now.
I think the contrast on the default makes the forum hard to read - black skin is really good though and it's definitely going to be what I stick with. Overall the entire thing seems way faster and obviously mobile support is significantly better. I didn't think I was going to like it at first but I already feel like I'm used to it.
I want to complain for the sake of complaining because I have grown to like the old design after staring at it for nearly 10 years. But I do think this is a nice upgrade.
Oh cool, I can press ctrl I or B to bold or underline like a normal text editor But the quote button is all hidden away, and a youtube video button finally! No need to manually enter urls and put in the video code
Actually it was dimmed / greyed down quite a bit already over the old forums. Can you explain in more detail what elements you find to big of a contrast?
Thanks for this major overhaul, its a great improvement for mobile devices, and brings many up to date features. On both default themes when a thread has unread messages, that is highlighted only by the round icon that precedes it, while in the Guru3D Blue it still highlights text bolder as it used to (something that is common to most forums). Would you consider implementing it on the Default themes, or making a Dark Guru3D Blue theme for those wishing this detail on a darker theme? Thanks! Btw, Guru3D Blue is missing a customized banner for now (shows a vanilla xenForo logo).
The logo I just fixed. The bold indicator I removed on the default skit as it feels a bit busy on the eyes. Might return that to normal, still playing here with things.
Sorry I was mistaken, it wasn't the default - it was the 'blue' version, I think it's the separation of the posts and the quote/reply part that loses a bit of contrast on the 'blue' one. I'm trying the actual default now and I like it but I think I like the dark better but more of a preference than one being actually better than the other.
Sure thing, fair enough. I threw in the blue design as an extra really. We can always tweak that one later a bit.
Oh, on the Default Dark theme the small alerts counter pop up might need a bit more contrast, as the black background/white text on the square blends with the theme. Maybe a blue or lighter background if not the original red for it to get noticed better. Edit: Noticed you've enabled bold on the unread threads for the Default Dark, looks fine to me.
