The coop game video they showed was kinda meh. Everyone was totally overreacting & playing after a script, totally staged. Meh.
Any news about Win 10 beta? It seems that Xbox already have it and I remember reading that Win 10 beta should follow shortly. Also co-op is optional, you can be a rogue captain of your ship, but as I understand, you could only sail a small ship, since bigger ships require multiple players interacting with wheel, sails, cannons and so on.
There is one running atm, Heavy NDA though. And yes you can captain a ship by yourself but atm there is one ship and you are forced into 4 man groups through matchmaking.
If this has decent SP and all the silly icons and crap can be turned off I'd be interested, if it's MP only I have zero interest.
PC alpha started last week. They are doing testing in waves, pretty much after they release new version, they send invites.
Got invited for the next alpha test, but i have no idea where to download the game. They said in the insider tab on the Windows Store, but it's not there.
You need to get the Xbox Insider Hub, and it should be under your Insider Content tab. I had to login with a different account wich is why i didn't saw it. Not long ago i made an new microsoft account wich wasn't signed up for the insider test. I probably won't enjoy it lol i don't have any friends who follows this game.
So far not impressed, game doesn't run well for a game that looks avg at best. Sure the style looks incredible though. Visited 2 islands, found nothing but a few skeletons, i'm really lost of what to do. Don't think there's a tutorial either, i had to figure out how to operate the ship on my own. You need to manually lower your sails and raise/lower your anker. My boat sunk/flipped over a couple of times, no idea why but i did raise my sails after dropping the anker so it won't move an inch. Ofc it's still in alpha stage, but things like this should be fixed early on.
