Long time ago friend had wireless mouse which was very light, because it had no battery.
It was powered by induction coming from mouse pad.
But that mouse pad was not very large, and mouse was not very good.

I am used to charge everything by cables. To consider wireless charging practical, It would have to work at least 80cm from charging source. But then I would dislike this EM field.

And since wireless charging requires quite close placement, I think charging place for notebook is not very different fro having docking station with power delivery. And for that reason I consider regular cable plug as more variable in location of notebook, and easier to handle.

Regarding your mouse you mentioned there, I vaguely remember that one. But a mouse has been announced recently (Razor maybe) that uses wireless charging on a mouse mat but also has a battery and bluetooth.
