hehe nice to see they saved up true fighter battles for Battlefront 2 instead of putting them in the first game.

Thanks, but not thanks. Only reading this, as well as their micro transaction model are already making me want to avoid this.

It's rumored that Ahsoka Tano might be a playable character in this new one, if not at release later via extra content... one of the devs showed interest in having her in the game which is awesome, I would love to see her in a game.

Microtransaction are like...... it's kind of like a casino mentality.

I've played the closed Alpha of this. Looks great. Already very polished - I did not experience a single glitch or bug at all. Nice upgrade system where you have to earn credits by doing stuff and then you spend those credits to get your power-up (like changing to Rey or Darth Maul for 5000 credits). No more running, camping and picking up hero tokens on maps.

The graphics system is also way different - no different levels of AA etc to choose to speed up FPS - only a single "display multiplier" which allows you to pick a total over- or under- sampling resolution and that's it. The lower you se it the faster the FPS, but the point is *everyone* gets the the same view of game, no more better or worse looking rendering just lower resolution.

I'm sorry but I can't remember Battlefront 1's or Battlefield 1's beta, weren't there some settings missing in the menues too?

Also, I don't see giving everbody the same settings making anything better. That's just... weird for a PC game.

The original Battlefront 1 and 2 from years ago were great. I wont be bothering with anything from DICE ever again. The good old days are long gone.

Ye it might just be because it's an Alpha. I don't see why Dice suddenly would remove all the graphical settings.

Yes I'm at this point too... not really excited about anything Dice could announce for the next game, especially not any upgrade to Battlefront, which already disappointed me due it's lack of complexity.

Well, they could do that save money when porting that game from consoles, for which it probably is developed as a lead platform, to PC.
