    Strange move.
It is so HARD to support other file systems... *sarcasm*

Microsoft likes to do stupid moves without proper analysis and thinking. Guess they will realize the mistake once everyone is gone to some other rival.

Even more strange move when you use OneDrive on other OS that doesn't use NTFS...

I guess it is intended to lock you in M$ product...

Strange days: AMD now react like NVidia 3 years ago and vice/versa and M$ react like Apple 10 years ago (when now Apple open little by little it's system) ...

    ???
i will go back to mechanical type writer ((lol :) ))

I mostly agree with your post, though I don't think an annoying change to OneDrive is going to get people to switch OSes.

Is there an OS worth noting doesn't support NTFS? Even Mac and Linux can, at the very least, read from NTFS without installing things like FUSE. Keep in mind I'm not favoring MS's decision here, I'm just saying NTFS support is hardly a problem these days. Only Windows seems to struggle handling other filesystems.

Doesn't Google Drive give 15GB for free? Why use OneDrive?

I like OneDrive because it's a good way to back up my Documents folder automatically without having to install any 3rd party software. Since it comes with Windows, I figure "why not?". And in case you're a tin-hat wearer, I don't really use Windows for anything important or personal, so pretty much everything in the Documents folder is game saves (including stuff that isn't from Steam).

Meanwhile, I use Google Drive for personal files, and I also have a separate Dropbox account for more business related tasks.

You can not change os cause your beloved games will not run, you have no alternative ...

Besides that after WW3 there will be no onedrive...

Unless of course your drive becomes full... and then it leads to total loss of all data on the drive.

And you can't use deduplication with ReFS.
