Alright so this is the second time this has happened. Once for me and Once for my wife while I was at work.

While gaming, WoW and Fallout 4 nothing super intensive going on but my monitor will just go black and look like its on standby. My wife could still hear stuff going on in the background IE discord people talking when it happened to my I couldnt hear anything from Fallout. After the first time ive been keeping an eye on my 980ti's temps but I dont think thats the issue. its never gone about 74c and hard reseting my computer right after I had no issues. No error messages no nothing. On Win10 if you need to know.

Anyone else have something similar happen or know what might be up???

Check windows event viewer to see if your display driver is crashing.

Windows event viewer -> Windows Logs -> System

Check around with "display driver" or "nvlddmkm".

Alright, I do see that pop up around the time I had this issue today in event viewer. Says that it recovered though, when that would happen before normally my monitor would show whatever I was doing.

Try latest driver + Clean DDU installation.

Try different cable, just to check if it reoccurs say on DVI instead of HDMI / DP.

Try disabling Afterburner / any other overlay you might use.

Did the DDU uninstall, then fresh install of latest drivers. Didn't get to test much had to run to work. Will test more when I get the chance. If it does not work I will try an older version.

Just had to roll back to an older version. Will see if this will fix this. I came to Nvidia to escape this issue with AMD cards.

And even using DDU and using an even older set of drivers that I know where stable causes the same issue when I start any game. I am guessing my card is trying to give up the ghost.
