What the heck is wrong with Samsung? Why all these stupid download limitations? They shouldn't treat us like this!
There's a good reason why. Don't want a repeat of the 850 Pro FW update from 2015. User Cliff S on tenforums put it nicely: (in response to "It always puzzles me why a large corporation has this restriction.") "To check user feedback(although... I could never find a clear link to it ), in case they need to adjust something, and not all their customers systems go FUBAR. Loose a disk, loose data" i'd post a link to ten forum, but I need more than 5 posts :bang:
They started the download limit on all FW and SW updates they release after the issue with the 850 Pro in 2015.
What features is it missing? They readded the features that people have been complaining were missing. ....unless you are talking about OS Optimization....which is pretty much useless.
Might be too soon to say for sure, but I'm noticing a bit smoother performance in Watchdogs 2...playing 3840x2160 DSR, RTSS 40fps, vsync off. I think the features that are missing (only the different types of optimization for OS as far as I can tell) no longer applies to Win10 CU...that's my best guess, but so far it's a good update for my rig.
https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/samsung-magician-fails-to-update-itself-securely.394803/ Might want to turn auto updates off.
i updated to this version simply cause exploit that could be used in 5.0 update system Mostly cause I couldnt even find "auto update" setting to even turn off or on, less it was done when program runs and i rarely run it. and even if it did run then I never found the new 5.1. cant say I like 5.0 look but atlest some things that were missing in 5.0 are back, system tweaks section is still missing though
The "Optimize Drives" button does nothing on my Windows 10 system. No errors, no result... just a button which I can click 100 times and nothing happens. Bug I guess ?
