Lets hope they suck at cryptocurrency

Lets hope they suck at cryptocurrency!
If we want to see some high end cards from amd actually in the shops.

    can't get a amd rx400 rx500 for a while now in holland.

and with the current crypto prices even the 1060/1070 is a hard find, if you don't want to pay over 500 euro`s that is.

I'm living of the brilliant Intel IGP because RX went MIA in the same week I was going to pull the trigger.

Hilbert, any info on when RX500 is coming to Europe again?

I've got an idea these cards will be hard to get after people that run Bit-Coin machines get a hold of them.

by now it is a general term bit coin mining is referring to mining cryptocurency even miner programs ... you mine what is most profitable for you and they give you bitcoins for it so the cryptocurency mining is kind of a term now days as bitcoin mining does not mean you mine bitcoins at all they are so many currencies out there it is just more simple that way

This is going to be one epic launch. By the end of this year AMD will be back on their feet as they will have VEGA, Threadripper and XBOX X on the table. I can see all of that selling like hotcakes. This is good times for AMD and well deserved with that said.

I will need to put up my 1060 for sale soon after I see the Vega FE benchmarks! Good temp card but I have budgeted for Vega this year! Can't wait!

I've been waiting to pull the trigger on a new card for awhile as I want to start using my 4k display at native rez.

I decided not to jump on a 1080 until I saw Vega. Now it's to the point that I might as well wait and see what Volta looks like. I can game at 1080 for a few more months.

Vega will be too expensive when released, as miners snap them up and inflate the price.

I also got tired of waiting and bought a 1080ti to replace my crossfired 290x's. Which is a substancial upgrade and more because mgpu is dead.
I started to suspect that something went wrong with Vega with this successive delay, which clearly shows that AMD are having problems getting it out with significant quantities, which means that they will be expensive.
Fortunately in Europe there isn't the mining madness that occurs in other countries because electricity is expensive as hell.

I'm hoping that Vega will be more expensive than the RX 580 and consume more power, while producing similar hashing performance. This will make it less palatable for ether miners and allow gamers buy them. Alternatively, hopefully AMD and Nvidia can sell enough mining-only cards to take the pressure off consumer cards.
