Some people are claiming that the vastly increased graphical fidelity and detail won't be representative of the final game. But those of us that have played the Metro games over the years likely aren't as skeptical. The Metro series has always had some of the best looking and most atmospheric games available. They also tend to be on the cutting edge of technology. It wouldn't surprise me if Metro Exodus goes balls deep in terms of PhysX integration, like they've done in the past. They will likely employ PhysX 3.4 and Flex, which would make for some truly insane physics effects.
It just shows the double standards of gamers. Dont dare criticize CDPR or Bioware, but it seems its perfectly ok to accuse 4a of false advertising even when they're one of few who've never downgraded any of their releases. All the people who defended Ubi and others and defended vertical slices and telling the rest of cu to get over downgrades are the same people who for some reason, are shocked that E3 contains staged or edited game reveal trailers. This is the first the worlds seen of Metro E, let alone heard of its existence (afaik), of course they're going to show a carefully constructed game-play segment. ... Playing through 2033 now and its not aged well control wise. The throwing knives are still confusing me with being a standalone weapon an not a quick throw item/weapon, yet at the same time, i like how it is its own slot no different to selecting any other weapon.
Russian accent saying: "Combine Stalker & Metro" Brb need to get fapping tissues. But graphics wise and atmospherically, they aged like a fine wine.
Not really. The Metro games have always been pretty damned wonderfully optimized. And, even at their lowest settings... still look amazing.
Thats what i mean though. Sure, they're optimized, but go over 1080p on anything but a 980 or 1070 and youre going to loose that 60fps as they're hard on gpus at resolutions higher than the defunct 1080p even with all that optimization. The "can it run Crysis" tag came from its visuals, not its poor optimization.
any game u need to run higher than 1080p on a vga less than 970 ofc its gonna struggle what do u expect??? the new 1070 is the new standard card for 1440p and some games play at 4k no problem on the 1070, like fifa and dirt 4 for example.
His name is Andrey Prokhorov and he is from Ukraine. Both Stalker and Metro teams are from Ukraine. Btw, even for todays standards LL graphics is good:
Metro Exodus takes the series above-ground for a year-long journey through post-apocalypse Russia: http://www.pcgamer.com/metro-exodus...-long-journey-through-post-apocalypse-russia/
Sure is, plus that watch showing actual system time was a cool touch. If I can make one wish for Exodus then make the campaign a bit longer. Both 2033 and LL had pretty short campaigns ultimately. Ofc they have replay value for different loadouts/tactics and moral points but just slightly more. Say around 20 hrs with stealthy/careful/explorative playstyle. IIRC LL took me about 12 hrs to finish on first playthrough. Can't tell what the figure was for 2033 as I restarted the campaign at least twice. Either for wanting to play from the beginning with higher settings (system upgrade) or realizing I've f-ed up and want to retry from the get go.
For graphic whores Well that's the question nobody asked during these presentations. Also i would like to know what kind of hardware this needs, mainly gpu? But if this world is properly done and interesting to explore, then you don't need long campaign.
