Says it all, another rumor. Let's wait two weeks and see what's really behind the pricing / 3 model lineup.

I'm assuming these are internal product names and not retail names. Otherwise it will be hugely confusing to the average joe which product is faster by the name alone.

hehe patience you must have, labidas ;)
You know it could really be helped as easily as AMD giving out any official information. Then we wouldn't have to worry about leaks and that.

At $399 it has to beat the 1070. You can already find 1070's for under $350. Zotac has one on Amazon in the US for $330 right now.

It probably will at higher resolutions. 1070 is kinda bandwidth starved.

If Nova is a dual GPU it is DOA IMO.

Been saying this for a year now.

Maaaaaan I am hoping for some serious competition here..... Come on AMD! Straight up the consumers need this!

Bring it out swinging and at a killer price point and I am in....

That dual GPU would make no sense to me. It would be something stupid like 20+ tflop GPU already, close to 25 most likely.

What did you expect, a giant chip, HBM2, potentially watercooling for sub $300? Like come on.

In most games it would be 10-12 Tflop. Look I liked my SLI setup but still preferred a fast single to a faster dual GPU.

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a price-to-performance advancement over the 1070, which has been out for a year. As you pointed out above, 1070 can be had for cheaper, so if that rumor is true, they're not advancing anything for the market as a whole.

I just don't see the point of making really expensive dual gpu setup to beat 700€ card. They cannot sell something like that at that low margin.

13.x tflop card should be close enough to 1080ti. Because compubench has their professional card with 16gb hbm2 up with 1600mhz core.

It should do better in terms of using the available power then Fiji ever did.

So much time to release the damn cards!!! Because of this i had no choice but to go with Nvidia even if the new Vega cards are better...

It says everything of value here. Internet feels deep desire to have Vega already here.

As for this naming. It is OK. Kind of playful. Performance... Kind of hard to see 3 different chips. Because that would be disappointing in comparison to just one Vega.

Best case scenario: Full Vega 4096SP and 1080Ti performance gained by clock and improvements in uArch => good profit. Other Vegas smaller.
Worst Case Scenario 4096SP Vega gets only minor uplift from Fiji and competes with GTX 1080. To fight 1080Ti Vega with 6144SP is used. => Expensive to make, small profit.
    = = = =
When I consider that there are rehashed RX580 to mess under GTX 1070, I see no reason (market space) to have any Vega GPU equal to 1070. Vega should be reasonably stronger. But then 2nd Vega should be above 1080 and top one either equal or better than 1080Ti.
