Ehh... They need to chill out with these big updates. First founders update broke our virus scanners at work and forced Windows defender in its place, then creators update, broke a lot of our devices with Intel Wireless NIC's making them run at 5-10% of their connected speed, and now they are going to releasing another big update to add more features.

From a corporate standpoint these updates are annoying.

From a corporate standpoint you should be running Enterprise LTSB if you don't want regular feature updates every 6 months

    Agreed.

I work from home, and connect up to my client's servers. Well, the latest Creator broke Pulse secure connect, and now I can't connect to my jump servers. I used to get a dialogue box that prompted for my credentials. Now I get this lovely thing:

Even from end user perspective it annoying every 6 months, corporations should be using enterprise LTSB though.

once year is fine but 2 times years is pushing it from end users majority users are not "power" users and dont know this software and how to fix it when goes to hell.

As far OS go windows 10 DOES NOT LIKE CHANGE cause the littlest of change or tweak breaks things.

When will Windows 10 enter final version?

Or is it just always alpha now?

I wonder if people will start donate opensourced ReactOS for the future? There is still some time before Windows will be completely useless...

Like early access game on Steam :D

I just don't understand what M$ trying to do with updates? Create hype so people waiting for it? Just update things 1 by 1, why release huge upgrade and then fixing bugs for next month. Stop using consumers to debug your releases.

I might be wrong but, M$ cant do what Apple does with MAC OS. While Apple can push updates that already battle proven by UNIX community (like cp command or curl)? M$ is totally its own beast, we cant test take appart windows and test it by module.

How can you rely on OS that gonna be officially under debug by consumers twice in a year?

when an OS need donation for the future, i cant see bright things for the OS
i mean an OS isnt all about the core, there is enviroment that backing it, driver-software-devices... if only handful people using it how it can be something considered replacement os ?
linux already been for long time, with many distro that giving great ui, but still limited to most people

i would rather put bet on android, google will slowy get in desktop build later or soon enough
especially if more like galaxy S8 plug and play for desktop usage mobile phone released
