Oh yes. It has. I get constant 60 now even in cities. I have noticed that the only dip I get is when you go through a check point like a speed camera then you get a slight judder/drop. Forza horizon 2 used to do that too. I'm guessing it's server related. I'm really happy with this game now but I do hope it still improves.
Oh yeah I gained consistent performance all around the board and in the city almost a solid 60fps on 1440 in the city.
Please don't rain on our parade just because you choose to play at 30FPS. Nobody here has ever had issues when at 30FPS in this game. The changelog from yesterday clearly states that people had issues playing at high framerates, including 60 and above. Unlock your framerate, play with the new "Threaded Optimization" option on then off and feel the difference. As for Hot Wheels, I very much enjoyed collecting the cars and tracks while growing up and I'm planning to purchase this DLC. Forza games have often had DLC after car passes and season passes are over, so who knows what else may come?
f***ing awesome!! Completely flawless 120fps now everywhere!!! 1440p - Maxed Settings - 4x MSAA - Dynamic Optimization Off Before this patch I was getting around ~52-55fps around this area in Surfer's Paradise. Stupid game would of had 1 CPU pegged at 100% and GPU usage sitting at a horrible 40-45% in those problem areas.
They did magic. The game now is locked at 60fps Settings are 1080p, everything ULTRA but the 2 geometry settings which are at Medium and X4 MSAA. Absolutely fantastic.
Any where I can buy the expansion pass for less? It's great they have fixed the game but I'm exhausted with the base game's content. Game launches in full screen btw?
20GB? The update was only 3.8 GB for me. I also found why my graphics didn't look as good. The update reverted my preset to Medium when I always keep it on High.
I updated my video driver from 17.2.1 to 17.5.1 because it was supposed to be better for Prey and also because the patch notes said it had fixed the graphical corruption issue in FH3 that were present in 17.3 1nd 17.4. Well, I am now seeing stretches of road being either white or black. It only happens the first time I go through that section. Subsequent passes are fine. Another issue is that now the game takes forever to load. It runs through the slide show about 5 times before it finally goes to the Festival.
They're talking about the Demo of the game which is 20GB P.S No the demo is not affected i just ran it same ol cr4p.
Best AMD driver The best AMD driver for this game is still 17.2.1. Anything newer causes multiple problems which include; Extremely long loading times for the game. It can take 10 minutes or more. Graphics corruption in the form of black dots everywhere. Graphics corruption in the form of areas of roadway being either pure white or black. Stuttering where there was none before. AMD is aware of the issue but they claimed that the problems were fixed in 17.5.1. Not true. If anything, they are worse. The problems started with 17.3 and are still present in every driver since 17.2.1.
Ok! They did magic! Running at super solid 72fps on 144hz! With 4XAA at 1080p. Never got a single drop in the game! Forza Horizon 3 has just been released!
This was one the major complains on Forza forums , thankfully yes it has been fixed lol +1 agreed 100% :giggle2:
What's a TDR? Do you mean momentary freezes? I'm getting a few of those after playing for a couple of hours or after loading the game after the computer has woken up from sleep. A fresh boot and a fresh game load is fine. For a while. It seems to be happening a little more since the latest update.
Yeah, I've just played some Blizzard Mountain and new Hot Wheels tracks as well as some of the original ones and the game is running significantly better than before. I've always played the game maxed out with 8xMSAA at 4K @ 2560x1440 with a 30 FPS cap because I could never get a stable 60 FPS at 2560x1440 even with lowered settings and 0xMSAA. I hated the fluctuating framerate that made the controls and cars feel inconsistent. Now, on the same settings the game holds 60 FPS for 99.9% of the time, only occasionally dipping during loading screens and pre- and post-race cinematics. It's a night and day difference. It's does beg the question of why the game didn't run like this at launch but better late than never, eh? It's a great game that just got even better.
