swapped back and fps back up like a rocket. im amazed that one set of drivers can have such an impact. Especially on a game as old as wow.

gg nvidia, never cease to amaze!

So have trying to figure out this issue, I discovered, If I use a HDMI cable instead of the displayport cable for my PA329Q Monitor and use the displayport for the PG278Q, both monitors work perfectly. But if i use displayport for both screens it disables the second monitor in any full screen game.

Seems to be a bug maybe? As it does not occur with older drivers.

And Maxwell users, also see driver regression?

One mentioned higher cpu overhead, well this means it has more api drawcalls, but since api calls remain the same dunno..

I remember in the past 290.xx driver had much higher cpu overhead vs 295.xx or older 285.xx while having the same fps. Guess its how its coded.
So higher cpu overhead can be better at times if it makes more fps, but if its the opposite then yeah..no go.

    What about games,
I saw one mentioned Firestirke, Timespy and Unigine superposition, e.g. TombRaider or The Division or DeusEX, etc. benchmarks?

I'd like to give this one a try, but I've been kinda busy lately. Maybe for the weekend. :)

I'm with in the margin of error.. windows 8.1 and 1080ti. Tested FS, valley, and Wildlands. Pretty much all the same.

There's nothing wrong with DVI but G-Sync module need DisplayPort to work.

It's fairly recent, happening to me as well, not sure if it is Creator related, Nvidia related or a combination of both but I am sure it is annoying me ;)

I'm still getting an issue in certain games being brighter on startup or after Alt-tabbing.

I've been getting this since the Creators update.

G-sync seems to be working alright again after it broke for me after 381.65.

I'm having the same issue except I have to restart my PC to get my second monitor back.

What refresh rates are your monitors? My main monitor is 100Hz with DisplayPort and my second is 120Hz using DVI-D, lowering the second monitor to 60Hz fixed it for me.

I literally have to unplug the monitor power lead and plug it back in for the screen to come back on lol!

Im using asus PG278Q at 165hz 1440p and a asus PA329Q 60hz 4k, only work around for me was to use HDMI for one of my monitors (PA329Q 4k one) and using displayport for the PG278Q (since it's a gsync monitor so I have to use the displayport).

But even with this work around I can now have a game run exclusive fullscreen without turning off my 4k monitor, but another issue is that the monitor connected via displayport doesnt go to "sleep" the screen always stays on with a blank picture instead of entering standby.

DSR didnt work here either, did a clean install, reinstall the driver fixed it.

Gta5 anniversary games can have shadow corruption, and shadow square around character in morning daytime.

As for driver performance, I played only gta5 mp and didn't see any regressions.

    PG278Q is 1440P/144hz. PG279Q is 1440P/165Hz

I have the same exact issue and i'm sticking to 378 drivers until confirmation of this fix. I don't think I should have to disable fastboot to fix this problem; that's ridiculous. To be honest I don't even know if it's enabled, I never checked. I do know that the creators update came with 378 drivers and not 381. Maybe there is a reason for that.

Fastboot is enabled by default on the Creators update
