You could try disabling fastboot in the registry. Go to \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Power and change HiberbootEnalbled to 0

Once disabled make sure to shutdown pc then turn back on (not restart).

@dhaern This driver fixed the issue, but not .ICC profile so I blamed W10!

Anybody tried setting a custom refresh rate with the Nvidia control panel with this new driver on Windows 10 CU?

Does this driver fix the issue of the custom refresh rate being applied in the Windows desktop but not in games?

This issue prevents me in updating to Win 10 CU from Win 10 AU (1607) where the custom refresh rate is applied both in the desktop and in games.

    same ...

and I don't like the looks of that dude's benchmark result. current drivers are working well for me. civ v not crashing on laptop with 381.78. my grey boot screen in win 10 creator's update is gone as of last driver as well. and performance has been great since 378.78. will wait and check back for more benchmarks or patch notes in a hotfix, or skip till next whql if I'm not sure. and new ddu update too, no doubt.

I can see it now ...

NVidia "fixed a bug wherein 20% performance was lost and BSoDs from voltage increase"

DDU "fixed a bug wherein windows 10 pc's exploded"

XD j/k DDU is great never had any problems with it surprisingly. and creator's update is sweet. gaming mode +1 fps ftw w00p w00p. redstone 3 adds process throttling and major UI enhancements. that will be sweet. will probably fresh install everything then I just upgrade installed redstone 2 after hearing about 3 and 4 coming out so soon

Can anyone who already installed this driver use NVPI to have a look if the Dawn of War III profile has SLI support?

There was a recent update to 3DMark that changed the algorithm for calculating API Overhead. Any scores from before that update cannot be compared with new scores from that particular benchmark.

yea i lost a tremendous amount of performance w/ these drivers. shame. ~10% give or take in wow. Much higher cpu utlization and being a cpu capped game has a huge impact.

Glad to hear that, but check your DVI cable. Why didn't use DisplayPort instead?

  17. I don't know if is you helpful but has been released a new Cumulative Update for Windows Creators Update.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4016240/windows-10-update-kb4016240

1)Addressed issue with a very dim internal monitor that may occur when booting with the external monitor only and then switching to the built-in panel only.

2)Addressed issue where running Win32 Direct3D applications or games in full-screen exclusive mode causes the system to become unresponsive when resuming from Connected Standby.

This fixed an issue with Desktop Mode for Gears of War 4, which is Borderless Fullscreen Windowed UWP game. After Windows Creators Update, trying to record Gears 4 with Desktop Mode would always capture a stillscreen of the pause menu for video, with the audio intact. I tried DDU and the last hotfix, it always would happen.

I hope Nvidia comes out with the fix for UWP games in general, so I can just use Instant Replay, without manually turning Desktop Mode on/off for GOW4 when I play.
