My GPU started to act up last weekend (literally rebooted my system in the middle of an Escape mission in ARMA 3 online) and I am getting itchy to buy a 1060 just to tide me over until Vega release to make a decision.

Titan XP owners must be livid with Ti and now this! :p

The vast majority of Titan X sales are in servers. Those people probably don't care.

If you didn't see this coming after Ti you are blind.

More -.- the naming than anything else.

Also confirms that I'll change my future purchasing habits when it comes to nvidia ;)

So, 2 different Titan X versions this time, one crippled and the other one being the "real" Titan.

    Gotta keep on milking.

At least with Kepler they gave it a different(not so much but hey) name. By the looks of it this time they won't even bother touching it.

I wish Nvidia would release a GPU, every day, with a single core more each day. It would make so many people so upset - but totally worth it.

Alot of extra cash for the small bump for a Ti. In real terms probably only a few FPS in it.

Talk about milking your customers , wow , I was under the impression that the TitanX was already a fully unlocked chip , So how many body parts would one have to sell to buy this new TitanXP ....

Sorry just seen the prize in the article = 1.349 euro

Titan line up is rediculous and I know I'll get flack for this but anyone that buys one should feel bad for supporting these obscene prices it is the only reason they get away with it

The Titan customers never have and never will feel "milked". Most, if not all of them, have enough cash not to give a crap. I'm not at that point yet, finances wise, but one can dream right? :giggle2:

I was gonna say something about trolling but then looked at your signature...Irony then?

Personally I think everyone does what they want with their hard earned money.
That said, it is a really bad investment to buy anything over $500, as in less than 24 months it will get completely outdated and lose most of it's value.

I found it awkward for Nvidia to launch the 1080Ti at the price they did, was guessing it was because of Vega: I was wrong, they were making space for a new Titan Xp :3eyes:

Good lord: $1349 (and just 0.5TFLOPS more over 1080Ti)
I bet people will buy 2 of them for SLI just for giggles.

IMO best Nvidia card today is 1070.

Yes the 1070 is the best card right now but with the price drop the 1080 is not a bad card either.

    Really do not get it...why?
I doubt that Vega will beat the Ti, maybe head to head in a few benchmarks.
And bringing out the Xp so shortly after the Ti ?
Either yields are so good that they have enough ti bring out the Xp to satisfy that market or they are clearing storage because the professionell market is saturated?
Or are they exiting deep learning because Google has a better chip ?

And quietly release a new card?
    Thats so unlike Nvidia.

Would not call it "milking", at that price point not a lot of cards are sold and those that have the money and want to have the best, will allways pay for it, no matter what the price.

Maybe they want to have something established on the market for the time when dual Vegas come out and still beat it ?
