I'm having trouble with these drivers for my laptop with a 940MX.
I've downloaded them from nvidia and here on guru but every time on the setup where it extracts the driver I get a 7-Zip data error.
I have tried on downloading laptop and PC, used firefox and vivaldi, cleared my temp files and turned off the anti virus for the downloads.
I think the nvidia files them selves are borked.
Any ideas what else I could try ?

That's weird, boot into Safe Mode with Networking, and try downloading them using Edge.

Same issue here on Linux; tried downloading through Firefox and with aria2.

Edit: Either dropping from my VPN or using the UK download link instead of the US one fixed it.

    Thank You !
I tried the UK link and didn't get the 7-Zip error and it installed.
So I guess the USA & Canada file as well as the Guru files for mobile are corrupted.

Hello all, I just got Watch Dogs 2 last night and I'm seeing some flashing on large areas with distant foliage.I'm on 378.49 but anything less than 377.05 eg., 376.09, gets overwritten eventually without my consent by windows update.

Does it happen with this 378.92 driver as well? Or should I just try and tweak it out, thanks.

  7. Some 378 versions caused problems with HFTS or PCSS shadows in WD2. Maybe this is the flashing you see. And disable Windows Update service to make your life easier...

I installed these cause swtor was crash alot after updating to creator windows build, which i think stoped the crashes, but think it messed with swtors performance i have to check my other games too

Got lower benchmark scores in Unigine and 3dMark with these drivers compared to older drivers from last year with my MSI 980 OC. My new 1070 seems to be fairing better.

Mixed testing with the Windows 10 creators update just now. Time Spy improves again, Fire Strike suffers again. NV hard at work breaking DX11 performance in favor of DX12 which noone uses.

Your first statement of results, contradicts your latter statement, which contradict the facts.

You said Time Spy improved (DX12), Fire Strike Suffered (DX11). Then said nVidia is focusing solely on DX11 performance instead of DX12.

The fact is the latest drivers are focused on improving API Overhead for DX11 (however incrementally minimal), while also focusing on improving DX12 performance.

This "creators" update broke custom refresh rates in games. My desktop is at 75hz but when in game, refresh rate reverts to just 60hz.

Never had this problem with anniversary update.

    Any fixes for this?

I thought of the same thing.

Tried it before but still 60hz.

    I/ve checked and it's 75hz.

Even checked my monitor control panel and it reports 75hz when at Windows desktop.

But when in game, my monitor control panel says 60hz.

Hopefully Nvidia can release a hotfix driver that solves this issue.

You could try to set the 75 hz in nvidia control panel

Games don't generally use desktop refresh rate in fullscreen, in any Windows version.
