Iirc, NVCP system information shows "IRQ: Not used" for a several years.

Honestly... Tomb Raider's SSAA looks really, really poor. Driver forced FXAA does better job.

Such a shame that they didn't improve it. SSAA sucked in the 2013 version too:

DSR works fine in TR 2013, for RoTTR right now the best option is to inject SMAA with Reshade.

    SSAA, not DSR.

I tried DSR 1440p but its a bit too much, 2xSSAA has lower fps impact while somewhat looking the same - antialiasing wise.
Only 1620p+ looks better, but its overkill, would need at least 1080TI minimum. :nerd:xD

Yes that's true, but with FXAA it loses detail a bit and it makes it look a bit washed out.

DX11 has it there too. So guess this SSAA glitch was there all a long?
lol although I didnt notice it up until that cave. Unless its something with ingame Hbao+ again? I remember last time there was driver glitch with FXAA + ingame Hbao, burned frames with shadows/ hbao shades

    And just for fun,
VXAO has 20-25% higher gpu usage, with just Hbao + I could use 2xSSAA and still have extra 15-5% gpu usage, on plus side it didnt jitter by max gpu 99-100% usage in Geothermal Valley.

Had my first hard lock since buying my 980Ti with these drivers. It was on Forza 6 Apex and I haven't touched settings for the game in months. I play a few hours every few days and yesterday I got a hard lock. Not blaming the driver, just figured I would put it out there.

Also, my GPU is on IRQ 16 after a clean install so doesn't appear to be using MSI mode.

The previous game was blurrier with SSAA than with driver FXAA. I ditched it instantly in this because it looked just as horrible as before (at least when it comes to getting rid of aliasing).

DX12 renderer has many visual glitches compared to DX11 renderer. It's not worth it to use it in my opinion. Also I can't live without VXAO.

It uses irq for mine. Msi moded need negative number in device manager (by sources) and mine is at irql 16.

Not used here with my 1080ti.
I manually enabled it, it seems fine so far.

    .

  11. This is kinda weird because NVCP says "IRQ: not used" and yet according to Device Manager GTX 1080 uses IRQ 16, same as my X-Fi. I have absolutely no problems so I don't really care but NV might have a look into this.

Perhaps it assigns an IRQ but the driver never uses it.
That would fulfil his statement to one effect.
But it doesnt explain how they implemented MSI.

Mine also was assigned IRQ 16 along with a shed load of other items.
I cant claim it is any different after changing to MSI because I didnt have any issues before.
    I did it just because.

yes, but in nvcpl it stopped with r350.

When ever I tried that IRQ to MSI tool it made my gpu act strange, saw the same on gtx780. Sporadic stutters and sometimes glitches/freezes.

Ok, I never tried setting it to MSI, but if that happens and you notice a difference then NVCP must be wrong and its using IRQ16 as it says in device manager.
