Finally some good news. Hopefully this driver will deliver what's being promised. Those Hitman and ROTR gains look pretty impressive.

Figure its going to be a new driver, why not something higher like 380. That was his point. (i think)

The official announcement didn't name any driver version number, so take any such mention with a grain of salt. Its coming from a huge rumor-site anyway.

I guess it's about Pascal, not only the top cards. Just not Maxwell, we're supposed to upgrade anyway :D

Hmm we shall see then about that... but if Maxwell also profits, I guess your 1070 will get something out of it too.

Conspiracy theory: Shock horror Nvidia (as usual) holding out on the performance of current cards all this time like they hold out on the Ti cards, to use as trump cards against AMD future new or potential releases...

Well if its compared to old r368 vs r378 then we already have what we have?

Speaking of older gpu arch, I think it will be noticeable across all dx12 capable gpus, mostly at more gpu friendly lower resolutions. E.g. 1080p, I remeber older r337 and 580gtx saw some pretty nice boosts as well back then.

It is comparing 378.74 to the old 368.81 driver. Since performance boosts are usually incremental with driver releases, we probably already have most of these benefits, if not all of them already.
