UK prices are up over on Overclockers and they're not bad, £488 for 1800x and MB choices are there as well Asus or Gigabyte, I'm still would love again ASRock board

To whoever it may concern (especially in the eastern Europe), on the Romanian market, the "AMD Ryzen 7 1700" is priced at 1599RON, which is about ~350 Euro.

As the site noted it down, it has 3Ghz default and up to 3.7Ghz Turbo. Also, it's RAM specs are up to 64GB max memory at 2400MHz in Dual Channel. Also Max PCI Express Lanes is noted as x16.

Cinebench single thread showed on the event give equal performance with 6900K in 1T run. ( 162 & 162 ).

The +52% IPC vs excavator need to be confirmed, but thats seem right.

 

Not on Firestrike physics... Core count dont scale much on "points". (Workload scale through cores, but calculation of point not ) Check the 8 cores Intel vs 6 and quad core Intel, you will see that the score is not double.

The only thing you have to watch is how score a 6900K and how score the 1700X.

if true that would make is slightly faster then my 6700k which is which 700$less then the 6900K and the 1700x is 600$ less.

if this all holds true AMD will make intel sweat. If I didnt already have this 6700k setup I might actual get one these, which would be first AMD cpu in over 15years

Just a small PSA if your pre-ordering check the actual release date for the motherboard you are choosing as there a number of different dates on different motherboards.

I got email about preoder from microcenter, I was curious to see what build would cost but they dont have any AM4 motherboard they just preoder to the chip.

6900k 1k$ 140watts 1700x 399$ 95w both being 8x/16t which really exciting to me.

6900k STP compared to 6700K is pitfull gains compared to price, but 6700 4c/8t 91w vs 1700x 8c/16t 95w with slightly better STP is quite amazing for AMD.

when does the NDA end so we see reviews from hilbert here hoping AMD finally pulled that magic rabbit out there hat and all hype is true.

So... the 1700X is £389, X370 motherboards start at around £150. The 1700X is £50 more than the 7700k, it better beat it for that price.
