    4%!!!

Well in that case they better be planning on BIG price drops of regular 1080's and moving these Ti's into the old 1080 price segment because I can't see anyone wanting to buy a card that is only 4% faster and costing another $100-$200.

One extreme to the other!!..even a Titan X is only, on average, 20% faster than a 1080

    no u xtreme

    Titan X is +31% over GTX 1080.
Taken across 10 4k reviews (including Guru3D), with -100MHz compared to GTX 1080

so something like +35% on same clocks compared to 1080

    sounds plausible

just saying... if someone is criticizing other ppl numbers, and going digit hunting, at least he should do it right

I strongly consider selling my 1080 and getting Ti, as for 3440x1440 1080 does work well, but can be a tad bit future proof. But lets see how pricing will be done.

Until Volta, the Titan XP is the best performance you can get. There is no way the Ti is faster, it would fly in the face of all the people getting them, since they have no extra compute benefit or anything.

Quadro P6000 smokes Titan X :nerd:

Joking aside, Titan X should still end up faster than 1080 Ti.
There is no reason why Ti should OC any better than Titan X.

But launch of Blackie full-fat edition few months from now is quite possible.
Proly depending on what AMD brings with Vega

I think Vega might be very competitive so GTX1080Ti is releasing now, like I thought they would. However, I'm also 100% certain that Volta details will follow within days of Vega releasing.

The worst case scenario for Vega is (Fury X + 4GB VRAM + Polaris Geometry performance)*150%.

That's Titan XP performance depending on the game, without any kind of benefit from the new architecture.

I wonder if there are going to be massive availability problems again a la 1080?

Also, not sure why some people think it will outperform TXP, that doesn't even make sense. No doubt it will be fairly close to TXP performance but it certainly will not outperform it.

Seems Nvidia got impatient waiting for the 490. Can't say I blame them.

If the performance numbers are true, a 1080Ti should be a pretty solid 4K gaming card, assuming you don't go all-out on AA.

I'm sure everyone's open wallets will quickly shut as soon as the prices are released.

Hopfully AMD delivers with Vega, or else we'll be looking at $1000 graphics cards for a long time....
