I thought, like others, that Nvidia was going to announce the 1080 Ti during CES.. But of course they didn't..

So until now I haven't really had a reason to upgrade.. But I just received two wonderful gifts that basically tell me I should upgrade... An ROG Swift PG279Q and an HTC Vive..

So, should I hang on to these and wait for the next gpu (1080 Ti) to be released, or just go for a couple 1080's?

I would likely go EVGA to take advantage of the step-up program.. Also, they will be water-cooled.

Step up is only good for 90 days after purchase.

    Thanks for the replies!!

Being that the PG279Q is a g-sync monitor, I'd be getting the 1080Ti (if and when its freakin' released!!!!)

I know. Just hoping if I purchase a 1080, that the 1080Ti would be available withing those 90 days. The earliest I would make a purchase is early March cause I'm out of town.

Definitely wait for GTX1080Ti and then get a second one for awesome 1440p@144Hz gaming.

RX490 will likely be a dual Polaris card, not exactly worth it compared to 1080~.

    Fixed

If the 1080 Ti gets announced, I'll definitely be ordering one - or two.

As for the 780 Ti's.. I'll be slapping the air coolers back on. One will likely go in the family gaming pc (1080p). The other, idk, probably go on display with the other old unused cards I have..

    Dude, get some therapy.

Admitting that you would steal from anyone means your morals are trash.
