You can't say that AMD hasn't got little media attention the past few months. A new set of slides surfaced at the usual suspect, this round a set with VEGA 10 and VEGA 20 slides....

Quote "Performance is rated at 12 TFLOPS for single precision and 750 GFLOPS for double precision".

It's SP performance does suit the enterprise market.

It looks like Vega 10 is Gaming GPU (1/16 DP FP) and Vega 20 is Server GPU (1/2 DP FP).
They may have the same number of CU's, but they are different architecture.

Quite excited about the Dual GPU.
We're getting close to unified memory :)
I wonder if they'd still need a bridge chip?

Power consumption is too high… At least I won’t be tempted to "upgrade" my GTX 1060.

I hope if they try to be the "best single card" with a Frankenstein x2 chip gpu it fails very very very hard.
I am sick of them setting back the advancement of r&d with x2 chip carss.
then they will sit and do nothing for what will seem like forever

I wish we could make dual GPU cards illegal.

Why even cry about power consumption. Are you gaming 24/7 or folding 24/7?
    I highly doubt it.

I want uber fps at uber high res with the power consumption of a GTX 660.

    Get real.

At that kind of power consumption that product exists already, it's called the GTX1070. :nerd:

If just going by TFLOPS - for single chip vega10 they are significantly bigger than even TITAN X ones, so I think power-consumption is more than OK.

That.....what? If this is about making things illegal for no reason, lets just go ahead and make air illegal too.

    Scarcasm escapes you. SMH

Dual cards are a scam and with the exception of the 690 tend to get no support. Hell even the Titan Z was left at the alter.

You get exactly what you order and is not a scam, technically support for anything isn't even guaranteed.

That being said, SLI in general has always been unreliable, that's not specific to dual cards

No you don't. You pay for say a 690 and promised 4GB of VRAM but really you only get 2GB because of mirroring. Your also at the mercy of Ali or cf profiles. I have used sli and for the most part it worked great but this dual GPU card thing needs to go.

I've had duel gpu cards in the past and I can honestly say they are a pain in the ass... when they work and the game supports it they are great.. but when they aren't supported they are so ****ing annoying.
