Maybe because people are annoyed at releasing the Ti varient so early on, could be why they may not release a Ti version forcing you to buy the TXP.
Im more excited about the monitor tbh.

Nvidia has never announced new GPUs at CES. I dunno why everyone was expecting them to show it. CES is an Electronics show it's usually not that gaming focused.

I bet they announce it at Pax South or GDC, both of those shows aren't far away.

    4K still isn't mainstream.

Honestly I would not expect a single GPU capable of even 60 fps 4K maxed settings until 4k DOES become mainstream.

That isn't saying they can't do it. I'm sure they can, but there is no point if it isn't popular enough for them to make money on. That's just how markets are.

It's kinda why Intel is holding back to see what AMD does.

1080 SLI is running like a dream in DX11. Also once Vulcan and DX12 finally start to take off, 4K will become more of a reality.

Idk man - I already showed that my GTX1080 does 4K Battlefront @ 60Fps everything maxed with FXAA on. It's arguably one of the nicest looking games out - In BF1 I get 80+ on most maps. A Ti would definitely be able to do 60+fps on the vast majority of games and if there are games that don't do it, I'm sure lowering like one or two extremely demanding settings would push it over.

High refresh monitor with a high 2000 - 4000+ dpi mouse, at DSRx4 my 1070 AMP! is butter smooth at 40fps RTSS locked in Skyrim SE 80 mods and GTA V maxed out except AA.

Pretty confident an equivalent 1080 would get it done with room to spare. In my opinion, comfortable 4k gaming is here.A 1080Ti release wouldn't make much sense right now, especially as they're trying to tap into other markets. But who knows, depending on how those plans turn out initially, we just might see one a few months before Volta drops.

Yeah right, you started the derailing yourself...

In fact you're a outright train wreck dude.

Better yank that parking brake before someone gives you an infraction for having a potty mouth.

Looks like we'll get the new G-sync with HDR like you predicted, looks quite promising.

Like you, I also had problems with the Swift but I was lucky not to have it with the Acer, my first one was almost perfect. Yea, many are hoping that there will be other panels than the AU Optronics ones.

What a cretin! Why? I really need that card :(

I'd like to stress that the Frostbyte engine is amazingly well optimized (SLI scaling included) and most games don't run that well. I also hope that the extra power in the Ti will be enough to have 60fps in all 4K games but I think it might be a too much to hope for.

The monitors sound cool and all but they seem pretty pointless without a proper card to drive them right now. Also almost no PC games support HDR currently.
