Yeah, the auto up feature is good. I'm starting to complete the main story now. I just did level 13 quest killing enemies the same level as me ~24
You're not using a specific key for dodge, are you? It's all about the double-tap. I know I'd have never used dodge otherwise. ..... WHAT?? *chest pains* That's perfectly fine. The game will provide the levels you need as you go. The end game quest levels will be lower than you are now and provide little to no xp, but that's just the way it is. But HoS will give you plenty of reason to spend that coin, and you just might find better (or better suited) armor. And, if you do HoS just before the endgame (Final Preparations), it dovetails perfectly with Blood & Wine, as you'll be ready to start that DLC right away after the finishing the main story, and you probly won't need to even turn the auto-leveling on (if you don't want to). Damn it, you're making me want to start a new game again.
Haha right! Did they change anything to the look of the game with the dlc packs? It seems the the fov is different now after installing the packs.
GOTY edition getting added to people's accounts on GoG over the next few days if both expacs have been bought already. (aka nothing changes, you get to redo all the same achievements i guess) https://www.gog.com/news/upgrade_to_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_game_of_the_year_edition
Will your saves from the original version work on this one? I'll be reinstalling it on a new machine soon and this will simplify things a bit.
Congratulations. And no, its the same as the normal version, just with the added expansions & free DLC. Only difference would be that its now a single installer. EDIT: Odd, I also received the GOTY version on Gog.
The Game Awards 2016 Best RPG: Witcher 3: Blood and Wine what, a DLC won? besting Dark SOuls 3, Deus EX Mankind Divided and Xenoblade Chronicles X? What if FF XV made it into the cut and was not delayed?
Because Witcher 3: Wild Hunt got all that (and TONS of other awards) in 2015, when it came out. As for B&W, comparing it to other RPGs, it can definitely hold its own as a standalone game. Huge beautiful map, lots and lots of quests, brilliant cut-scenes, voice acting etc. etc. The term "DLC" is insulting, whatever happened to expansion pack or add-on? :bang:
Yeah since DLC can encompass something as small as a weapon skin, or as huge as a game expansion, its really not the best acronym to throw around when describing things. I think of HoS and B&W as expansions first and foremost, but peops keep labelling them dlc for some reason. I mean, technically its correct, it is downloadable content, but clearly its much more than that, in the case of the W3.
Heh, I remember arguing with these 2 idiots on youtube (I know) who were saying there's no chance B&W would win anything against other full size games. They clearly didn't play it...
For me it will be useful if I uninstall what I have now and then , in the future , want to replay the game from the beginning. The GOTY edition will be much better for that and would be the only one that would stay in my library. As of right now though, I wouldn't want to start over as I'm playing WoW, The Walking Dead, Forza Horizon 3, and just started on Fallout 4 which I got for $15 from cd-keys. My plate is full.
