I have had 4 replacements with no luck, i might just bite the bullet and pick up a 3m riser as they are known to work very well in general.

4? Geez. There's an UpHere PCIE riser cable on Amazon which I have my eye on it for sometime time.

And there's someone in the review of the product saying is working fine with the P5.

And the only reason I haven't got it yet was because of hope that TT might had resolve the issue until now.

But after 4 replacements as you mentioned, I believe is pointless waiting any more.

I will order the mentioned UpHere riser cable and I will let you know in case you are interested.

This is how I have my rig setup so far. I am loving the Thermaltake core P5, I am waiting on a better riser cable so I can have the gpu front face mounted.

Why is the GPU not placed in the first PCIE 16x slot?

Well the heat from that cpu, even with an AIO, is terrible so i dropped the gpu to the 2nd pcie slot so the heat can rise easier and i can keep the space between the bottom of the case and the gpu intake cooler with a noctua.

Benchmarking results between the different slots was negledgable for the improved thermals.

Ive changed the layout many times and this way works best for me. :)

Some crazy elaborate cases here. Mine's very basic but it's clean and for the size the wiring came out great. I call it my PS4 pro killer

Nice, tidy and clean! Good job. Looks great!

Can we have a pic with the gpu installed too? :p

That could be interesting. How the hell the GPU will even fit in there.

I thought the same but obviously is just that the angle and depth are a bit misleading. :p

Only reason I took a pic with it outside the case was because it hides my tidy wiring work. However it'll accept most any full size card, even a Asus direct cu GTX 1080.

Luckily I did happen to take a pic of it inside, which is good because I'm lazy enough that there will be no more pics until I upgrade the GPU which may not be until next year seeing how a potential 1080 ti goes.

This is a super clocked 970 gtx but as you can tell there is a fair bit of GPU room there. Oh and some may find this interesting. That larger case in the background there? This case actually keeps my GPU cooler than that one does, in fact my GPU fans don't kick up nearly as loud as they used to. Possibly due to this one having it's own seperate chamber for it and the two 120mm fans directly blowing on it from underneath.

    Swapped to the 570X

Made some great updates to the system/battletstation this year. Here are a couple of early night shots of the most recent upgrade to the 570x (with a Hue+) showing off the colors

I'd like to fabricate a little panel to go at the end of the shroud to hide the cables, but aside from that, am very happy with it atm! More photos to come ;)
