I have a crummy 7 series but for the games I play it does great. LOL I think paying 400 dollars or more for a video card is a sin. A video card should not cost more then a top tier CPU. Back to what I was saying. Im gonna save my 800 dollars and instead of jumping on the 1080 bandwagon Im gonna get the 2080 card. :bang: and not upgrade for 5 years. Pay the heavy 800 dollar price but never upgrade a dang video card for 5 years is my wish. thx
I like fish. You can catch them. They look good in a tank, very high res and refresh. Colour quality can be superb. Great value.
5 years on a GPU, lets see how that will work out. If you bought a 6gb Titan in 2013 for $1000, in 2014 a $330 mid-range 970 equaled or beat it. In 2016, a $400 gtx1070 is about 70-80% faster. And you're only in year 3.
Made me laugh out a couple of times while reading this. Have fun with your plan, you'll see it's ilusional.
Honestly you would probably be better off getting a mid range GPU and updating every 2 years. Sell your old card when you buy your new one to recoup costs. I think this is the most finically sound way of keeping up to date.
Top Tier meaning a 6700k , like a 3 , not a 1 like a crazy xenon 12 core or something... even a sandy bridge 2600k is a top tier CPU ,,,,, thesee GPU's do one thing and one thing only year after year is,, making it faster and faster and snatching our pockets!
No it isn't, you can't just randomly decide on what is a top tier CPU in order for it to fit your idea.
I like to go high end every second generation. To me the point of PC gaming is having the top shelf experience and graphics. When a console starts beating your low/med graphic settings then you are past due. Though for the money, it's really hard to beat a PS4 Pro. Graphics are certainly very similar, you just might not get the best performance or SS/AA options but it's a good value.
I think you'll find that the 1080 costs less than a top tier CPU https://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-Extreme-Processor-Socket-2011-V3/dp/B00N1O4RRY Good luck next time.
