I dont think so...I wish this could be done! I would like to try my r290 as a w9100 performance on Maya or Mari!!
if you want that just use maya 2017 update 2 it uses opencl by default and is blazing fast i use maya daily
This driver version is essentially 16.6 with a few minor adjustments and Polaris support. It won't offer any FirePro/FireGL style advantages on consumer cards. That's controlled by something else, probably a device id check or another bit in hardware. That said, you can mod it for consumer cards yourself, but it requires editing the msi installer packages and a manifest, in addition to INFs. There's just no reason to do so.
