    Hello galaxy76.

If you follow the steps correctly, there is no fear at all.

Do you know the procedure/commands to flash a bios?

If you do, do not forget to use the "--save"(nvflash --save backupbios.rom) command to make a copy of your current bios or you can alternatively use GPU-Z to save the bios.

Let us know how it goes.

    thanks.
One question: the new bios, what does? what has changed? you know?
someone has run the performance tests before and after the bios upgrade?

    Np. :)

I have seen some positive comments about the new bios update for various brands in this and other threads around.

And about what change quite possibly its a fix/tweaking/workaround of that micron memory "bug/issue" which to be honest I haven't been following extensively.

Below are some good articles on it which describe the bug/problem which in return is probably what they fixed.

Returned a 1070 since I failed to research SLI supported games before hand. Very disappointed. Oh well, one 1070 seems to run everything in upscaled 4k at 40-45FPS which isn't horrible.

    With SLI for looks

Yeah SLI is pretty much dying/dead (it was bad in July when I got my 1070, even worse now), same for CFX. I too wanted to go 2x1070s initially, but decided against it. Rather get a 1080Ti or what comes after, if I want more performance.

Assuming that he can still find ones with samsung memory, the MSI 1070 Gaming X with its TwinFrozrVI cooler is among the best, if not the best from this generation. And I can back that up personally, super silent, you can barely hear it even at 70-80% fan speed, almost never over 60 degrees and a lot of OC headroom due to this.

Nice build! Just wondering though, why not send both cards back and go single 1080 since you upscale to 4K!? You'd probably be averaging 60fps+ then? Since you where happy to spend the equivalent of a 1080 with 2*1070 give or take...

Because the RX490 is coming out and might be better than 1080 it might even be better than 1080ti and comes out next month!

Here are the things we know for sure, thanks to previous leaks and AMD’s own documents:

It will target the 4K resolution and be the go-to graphics card for VR.
It will have a bus width greater than 256 bits.
It will be based on either a dual-GPU Polaris 10 design or Vega 10.
Its going to be close to the price point of the Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080.

If it will be Vega 10 I can agree I believe

Given the current state of multi-gpu support, it better NOT be a dual-GPU card.

Please keep this kind of red mist pollution out of this thread, if possible. Or at least link some reliable sources. I mean it's just common courtesy nowadays to back up what you punch through your keyboard.

Well his rig was red so thats why I said what I said. :) Not to mention, if he is going to sell off his gear in about a week we will know for sure as per the website's news. I would post sources but it seems like w cc f is not reliable enough?

    Who cares?

Literally has nothing to do with the topic and the only one bringing it up is you.

Read the title, 1070 thread. Not spit out rumors about AMD cards.:3eyes:
