What's really sad is that now that Republicans control Congress too, Trump will probably be seen as some great leader simply because Congress won't block everything he tries to do solely for political reasons.
I did not want either but Trump is a complete idiot.

LMAO , people are going crazy. people crying, people want to leave the country. its basicly Armageddon if you believe the media.

The fact that people are unable to comprehend what has happened and accept it is quite scary.
Even the people who who dont live in the USA have totally lost it.

I think the other way around. He will use congress as the fall guys for not supporting some of his outlandish plans. Like building a $25 billion 50' high concrete wall on Mexican border (that he says Mexico will pay for).

Maybe, but it wouldn't surprise me if he just claims that the wall was just a metaphor for tough immigration.

Personally I see him being frustrated by congress making him feel less in control.

    Heh,

Not a great fan of Trump, but I am willing to give him a chance.

And yes, I am an AMERICAN CITIZEN who voted in OUR election, and I am proud to say I voted against Hitlery and the Progressive Socialist cancer that has been prevalent in MY COUNTRY for far too long.

So, flame me all you want, it will only serve to re-enforce my convictions.

As an AMERICAN, I am honor-bound to defend to the death your right to be wrong.

    From his own site...

Donald J. Trump’s 10 Point Plan to Put America First

    1. Begin working on an impenetrable physical wall on the southern border, on day one. Mexico will pay for the wall....

    https://www.donaldjtrump.com/policies/immigration/

    Doesnt sound metaphoric to me.

Echo chambers make you crazy, and the media live in one for the most part.

Pollsters were sooooo off-base on this one. They basically wrote off an entire segment of the population then used their old formulas to 'predict' the results.

Heck... Even I was able to predict the outcome a few weeks ago and Im no 'expert'. People were fed up with the status quo. Result...

That and also if/when he fails he'll just use the fact that he has no political background and its the American people's fault for electing someone like him. He is not capable of taking any responsibility for his actions.

well because he's business minded he could by

    1. build wall
    2. massive charge (cos wall cost so much to build) to enter USA from Mexico
    3. And USA to Mexico free too add some form of value to the users of the pass through the wall.
    4. add ground sensors to listen for tunnel diggers
    5. missile stations with low flying air craft radar

i doubt he's going to build any wall he will clamp down that will be his wall.

It's easy to come back when you get business wrong though, crazy gambles can send a country into a downward spiral.

    The plan is listed here.

He will have advisers it's one thing him taking risks with his business idea's but with running of the USA He knows it will be quite different.

just wait give him 1 year see what happens then i would say you have valid reasons if he does get away with these so called crazy idea's you all seem to think he going to do, which he wont be able to if they are really crazy ..

the media is just having a hissy fit like with us and brexit because they didn't their way for once look stupid from their polls so need to deflect by dramatising everything, playing the viewer like a fiddle i think they call it...

Yep, the same advisors who advised everyone else, and will convince him to keep the status quo.

It's not about him getting away with it, I'm not convinced he will even make good on his promises.

tbf, the leave campaign here were the worst when it came to making promises they had no intention of keeping.
I voted leave out of spite if im honest, but many believed the crap they were fed.

Politicians lie, businessmen lie, Trump is both.

    well you had your reason.

And we all know they never tell the truth.

been alive longer enough to see that and how the our media has become twisted with the truth to plays us all.

Although Living standards have improved for most people over the last 35 years they have also gotten harder to keep or sustain at the same time.

    so something has to change.

No political background was the biggest of his 'qualifications'. Second was not folding under the pressure.

I was never a 'fan' of his, but both of those traits are refreshing for someone fed us with the status quo.
