It would be interesting to see a DigitalFoundry do a some in-depth analysis of the console.

I am most curious to how the fans work. are they still doing fan speed is control by load on the system? or temp..

It drove me crazy how game menu set fan in to frenzy but gameplay didnt made no sense

As I recall that was fixed on a later revision of the ps4, presumably carrying over onto the ps4 slim and pro.

Cause it makes no sense why a ps4 in norway will make as much noise as one in india when the ambient temperature is so wildly different.

Yeah the markup is about £75 between a 1TB ps4 and a 1TB ps4 pro, well worth the difference.

A few games have been patched to support HDR in the last few days and I've been pretty impressed with it even on the standard PS4, can't wait to get the Pro :D

I too have a Pro pre-ordered. I sold my PS4 last month before the Slim was released to get as much as I could for it before the prices dropped.

I wonder how much the PS4 original day one release will still sell for with P.T. installed?

Your best bet would be Ebay. I'm sure it will sell for a good price if you mention P.T on the selling title.

I'm waiting. So far all the patches seem to be aa/af added and a higher resolution. Essentially doing what I would on PC if it were a 3rd party game.

I was hoping more efforts would be put into the various game engines- pushing shadows, lighting, etc.

It is tempting for my hdr enabled sony 4k tv, but not enough for me to justify buying another ps4. I'll see what future updates do on games I haven't already beaten.

Have you seen the differences Pro brings to PSVR? Coupled with good first party support I can see the Pro being a worthless investment. Even for 1080p/supersampling.

What model Sony TV do you have? Some have as high a 103ms input lag in 4K HDR.

103ms? That's insane. I remember I struggled to get used to 35ms on my 1080p Sony TV, compared to a PC monitor which is less than 5ms.

TV/HDTV have lot more features manipulating the image, unlike monitors.

my TV has 35ms ish which i have no issue with most 4k tv have 35ms ish input lag at this point there are still some out there that have insane input lag

It may sound like nothing but it really does have an impact on how you play something like a FPS. The delay from moving to shooting is very noticable. But have said that. Most people's internet connections have a ping of 15-20ms. Which makes it more of a level playing field.

I dont play FPS games as i dont like them. nor would i ever play them with controler for that matter.

35ms input lag is fine special if you use to having Vsync enable on PC games.

you can "adapt" to input lag and learn to compisate for it to a point, 60-100ms input is where it bad imo and not play able.

15-20ms vs 50-100+ ms ping time alot harder to compensate for. I not say Input lag isnt bad, I just say you can adapt to it to point you dont notice it, the input lag on my HDTV out side of Gamemode is supposedly horrible according to people that have my tv, but I dont use gamemode on anything cause i dont feel or see and input lag in anything.

I more annoyed by my TV pixel response time (motion blur do it ms) then anything else which 5ms and seeing as my monitor is 2 ms pixel response and I hate it on monitor is more annoy on the hdtv.

Most 4k UHDTV especial 1080p HDTV should be in the lose 35 input lag range at this point
