In the past sub branch usually preformed better, its when main 00 has to many issues.

So far they keep returning to main, so guess its not that bad.

I'm getting slowdowns with this driver in Dirt Rally which I didn't have in the 375.63 drivers. I guess the other branch is better with my setup. I'll probably roll back to the .63 since I play this game a lot.

And do you have the annoying black artefacts on Gifs and videos on Facebook, youtube, imgur ? for example

Maybe it happens after couple of gifs so try to keep watching more of them, it happened to me on the 4th gif. since drivers 373

Not really, just the same bloat fest either way.

I notice now, they slip in the Telemetry crap, but that is deleted, as above, also. Nice clean install, and no problems thus far ;)

It's little wonder most will have problems, with all that nonsense running, honestly.

    Why does it bother you?

After the installation you can delete the NVIDIA folder anyways.

Damn... For me it was 656MB because I delete everything I thought I could (only install driver and psysx ), and now it became 146MB without the installer2 folder. Nice nice. The x86 remains 202MB. Effin Physx with multiple versions. I think I'll start getting rid of psysx too. Don't have games that use it and usually my card can't handle it anyway.

im having problem playing .gif and other video formats that it get black artifacts. no problem noticed in gaming in terms of graphical issues, tested shadow warrior 2, doom, fallout 4 and witcher 3. im not very peculiar in fps unless its a very drastic noticeable slowdown.

i had a bsod while tabbed out of elite dangerous, watching a youtube video. my cpu overclock is a mild 4.6 on a 6700k under a custom loop. been running it for over 6 months with no issues. 1080 FE was also on at a mild oc so it wasn't that. if it happens again, ill roll back and see if it is these drivers.

Got some weird lighting issues in BF1 (the ballroom blitz map in and around the ballroom) players look like they are casting their own light and sun shafts are all screwed up
