ofc that's what i mean here, which soundtrack lets you get into the atmosphere of the game, and ofc while u play it, not outside of the game..

 

some amazing soundtracks by him, for me the best is the dark knight soundtrack, i would recommend aswell the soundtrack from ä movie called"beyond rangoon" a 90s political drama, anw back on topic

To name just a small amount, imo nothing today can touch the music of games years ago. They were written in a way that you never forgot them.

And this version... even though it's amateur capella it gives me chills everytime...

 

I've probably listened to Mass Effect's soundtrack longer than I've played the game, and I think I've played it through thrice...Max Payne, Dune's Spice Opera come to mind, and some of the stuff mentioned here already. Sometimes good soundtracks are simply good for the atmosphere they create, like the gamelan music in Far Cry. You tend to forget about them until you're playing the game again. And the most poppy tune of recent times that comes to mind is Far Cry: Blood Dragon lol...really catching that 80s action sci-fi vibe.

I know its kinda iffy but I really like the new soundtrack on Alpha Sapphire/Omega Ruby. Aswell as the original ruby/sapphire/emerald.
