Since you are a programmer, you need to realize that John was mostly using the AMD ADL SDK. There is no magic there, unfortunately.

Might as well install them, one new change to Occulus as well going by the updates to the release note or well update as that was the only difference I saw.

Wonder if this means 16.10.2 will drop in a few hours as with the previous driver release when 16.9.3 or what it was got WHQL certified and 16.10.1 was released? :D

Yeah they're on the 16.10.1 page without any changes to that (Aside from that one note on a new Oculus feature that is being supported.) but now the driver is listed as -October13 in the file name and not -October6 as the initial release was. :)

Just to confirm, I did download the new package and indeed it's WHQL.

These updates just keep rolling out like there's no tomorrow...keep up the good work AMD cos once Vega 10 drops, I'm getting rid of this 1070 and coming back on the red team.

Just change this if you can be bothered to:
    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000]
    "RadeonSoftwareVersion"="16.10.1"

So i had some problems with the installation, It somehow failed and after that my Windows was running something like 2FPS maximum....
Rebooted safemode, uninstalled Drivers with DDU... everything was fine.

Installed the new 16.10.1 WHQL.... And that's what i get.

Hey guys, sorry to ask, but not so long ago there was some modified drivers for notebooks and older cards. This can't be done anymore?

I have an old Asus G73JH, with an 5870 and i'd like to have drivers updates, but the only one available is 16.2.1...

If you think AMD drivers are crap then dont try nvidia's driver suit, its even worse and now it has mandatory login that adds even more problems. Multi monitor support is worse than it was 5 years ago, laggin image, problems with refresh rates, dpi scaling issues, the list goes on. From 25 years of experience with both amd(ati) and nvidia cards, from my experience AMD drivers has been overall better than nvidia when it comes to drivers and their basic functions.

Does anyone else have choppy audio in Shadow Warrior 2? Some people are saying it's GPU driver related but I am unsure. Trying an older driver wouldn't be worth it for me as this driver improved Forza a little. Just curious.

Why does the AMD driver download page say that Crimson 16.10.1 hotfix has a release date of 10/13/2016?

nvm. just read the back pages.

I'm not sure if it's the right thread, but anyway:

Can we enable 10-bit support via DP?

I'm not even sure my monitor supports it (ACER XF270hu, depends on which site I read), had to ask.
