I'm afraid that you'll be waiting for a "better stable" forever because neither AB nor any other oc tool is adjusting the clocks dynamically without user.
XFX RX480 8GB XXX Edition 1288/2000 - not working only for manual fan, tried msi, extended, thirdparty etc... disable ulps <- do not check this causes tons of throtteling. can not stop this card from throtteling at 1288/2000 with power boost more voltage anything. bought a new power supply Corsair AX860 modular platinum also have a ASUS RX480 8GB ref card 1266/2000.... not working either... and not working for crossfire, I get lines all over screen when trying to setup or change anything in crossfire with this version. this card stays stable does not throttle.... crossfire is running 16x 4x but BF4 runs silky smooth with 16.8.3 drivers. this setup is perfect.... posting pic: xfx card with fans blowing up, asus ref card blowing out back, the position of fan is perfect as well, it sits just above my creative xfi sound card, so the fan sits just past that, plus i have extra fans for cooling fps is through the roof, never below 100 fps even at 1440, but i only do 1080 or eyefinity at 5760x1080 if I use clocklocker it will crash my pc when running or at startup everytime.... please help... i want both cards to run 1288/2000 with no throtteling.... i know the 4x used to be a limiting factor but not anymore.... in my tests so far.. at 16x getting 40-41.2 GPixels/s at 4x getting 39-40.5 GPixels/s that is NO bottleneck pic of pc setup.... http://imgur.com/A63K9gv
Use search to learn oc basics and avoid flooding this thread with "how do I stop throttling" please. Keywords for search are: Crossfire, ULPS, unofficial overclocking.
ok was not trying to start a thread could easily get a PM... i know OC basics, you are pretty rude... actually probably know more IT than you...
You are ignorant, not a single person in IT knows everything.... Been in IT before there was InTeRn3ts haha The RX480 is new, the crossfire is new, multip rx480 gpu setups are new, I am contributing to information about this program, hardware, driver versions, that work and do not work, this is the first app to be released to support the RX480 and it is not working for either of mine.... All you contributed to was by trolling.... instead of just reading and moving on, if I wanted to start a thread I would have started a thread about throttling, you comment was useless and waste of time and nothing but a troll
Fact is: ZOTAC firestorm is working great, older AB working great, the only problem here is the new AB.
Fact is that this build doesn't contain any changes for Pascal. Buf if you prefer to beleive that the only problem here is new AB, let it be so.
My Steam overlay does not work anymore when I run this version with Rivatuner. Everything else works as it should.
-Tj-, I had tried that with the previous beta version, and it did not help. But, just because you mentioned it here I tried it again - to my complete surprise, it worked this time. I totally appreciate you bringing it up here. Many, many thanks!
Reasons are reflected in RTSS 6.5.0 release notes. It was also asked in this thread and in AB forum section and a ready to use solution is available in this thread.
