is this good DPC latency?

hello, ran the latencymon test and got this result:

is this good? bad? average? can I lower it somehow?

this is with nvidia driver 372.54, win 10 anniversary edition, gtx 1060 6gb.

    thanks for any help !

Good. And if you have played a game during the test then it is very good.

Lol doing nothing i get a 500000 latency spike after 1 minute.

In what position? I only look for ISR and DPC latencies.

    In the very last bar.

Because i have CPU Power Saving enabled.

Anyways, not sure i would bother with this anyways. My Games run smooth and i have no crashes, that's all what matters.

I have the same thing while playing (not entirely sure what's up or maybe it's normal...) but everything seems to be running flawlessly (probably power saving since i haven't bothered touching that) or something out of my control.

Last bar has nothing to do either with CPU power settings or with latencies. It is related to memory management and to storage subsystem (HDD or SSD, IDE or AHCI mode, MS` generic drivers or OEM` ones, etc).

Congrats, you apparently disabled CPU power saving features.
Apart from enhanced halt state (maybe), this won't ever give any advantage in any game.

Like stated in the other thread, disable Threaded optimization in Nvidia settings also reduces DPC.

Or you could not worry about DPC latency since it's already low enough to not matter.

The ONLY thing that matters with DPC latency is that it's "low enough" to not cause problems. Beyond that it doesn't matter at all since you're never playing "dpc latency", you're playing *insert game/media here*.

So trying to obtain the lowest possible latency really doesn't matter. Leave the power saving features on and stop wasting your time trying to optimize this.

yes , i think its a realtek chip, its integrated on the mobo..

how do you guys get so good latency? just disabling cpu throttling down outside games or ? I want this too :p

Yeah... they only had Latencymon open for a minute on each screenshot and probably had nothing else running, even opening Firefox on some sites can show a decent rise in levels - at least RzrTrek had his open for 12 mins and probably played a game or 2 at same time.

I'm fairly new to Nvidia so im new to this "issue", I don't use onboard audio or Displayport audio tho so i'm not experiencing any issues with audio pops etc, my OS is on SSD and I have my CPU cores unparked, games are on a 1tb raid 0. I only see visual differences and performance compared to my old R9 290 on various games, so not sure what's normal as yet.

Here's one i took while playing a few games Bad company 2 and Doom:

It should be fully fixed for single-GPU with 372.54.
