" I'm also tempted to save up for another month and then get a 1070 " <-----This. My self I ALWAYS get Nvidia and Ati/amd So SAVE up for the 1070.. as much as I like AMD.. awesome cards.. 1070 now is the way to go
I can't bring myself to recommend NVIDIA for the simple fact of the royal gouging their cards are commanding at the moment. Plus 490 is due very soon. (Oct?)
I am sure why no one bother to post this maybe because it does not fulfill their agenda. Some will ignore and most of AMD fans has been insulting this poor you tuber because he posted this benchmark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erAh6EAEu08
99% of high end market own by Nvidia and fact is that Fury X is now not a high end card in fact AMD will not have any high end card till 2017.
What site is that anyways? That Apex score is well exactly opposite of everything seen so far. http://www.golem.de/news/geforce-gt...ingen-direct3d-12-und-vulkan-1607-122214.html And I am totally interested in what model of xfx is that the reference oc or custom aib oc.
"780Ti during it's reign as the top dog, vs 780Ti by the time 980Ti was released. Outdated you say, lost performance on the same game, some good driver updates they are..Gimped to make the 970 & 980 sell better, simple as that!" " Thats why i like ATI Radeons (i have ease of Mind ) This is from reddit, there are interesting Threads there. Conspiracy Gimp Theory :wanker: But benchies from games are what they are :bang:
Those slides are from WCCFTech, the same people who caused the AMD reddit to hype up beyond belief by saying 480's will hit 1600 on air and that if you had a 970/980 "you should sell it now".
Well, Fury has been purchased, I wonder if I'll win on the silicon lottery and be lucky enough to unlock some shaders too. It should be arriving on Wednesday.
I mean Doom used Async.....Nvidia cards don't really compete in that title, same with Hitman lol just saying. The 980ti is faster than the Fury in pretty much everything until you through in async and then the Fury tends to win lol. So I do think it matters just a little and is a bit important, it makes AMD cards the better buy for titles using async. And in this case the Fury is the best buy of the 3. Will scale into 1440p and in same cases 2160p and will hold up longer than the 480 and 1060.
What is called "async" by marketing departments, is a whole new way to use the GPU. That not only includes graphics, but a varied range of things that a really parallel processor is capable of, like physics, AI, audio etc. Discarding all that (and how ALL console games work at this point) as "nothing", is really shortsighted, especially since NVIDIA had to do changes in the Pascal pipeline to at least accommodate a bit of extra parallelism in there, even if it's just better preemption and not "true" asynchronous execution.
Maby it's just More MHz in those chips and nothing more for real. Just sain' one chip is on 1050Mhz and the others 1400Mhz and 1700Mhz so the math is clear More MHz = Faster frame calculations and you can add to the equasion the faster GDDR5x also + some Software Driver Tweaks and Boom 30FPS more than last gen.
There wouldn't be async differences in 3D Mark if the pipeline was the same. I still believe that a tile-based rendering GCN would crush Pascal, but that's just a daydream.
