I need Pokemon Go, great way to lose some weight hehe.

I'll probably don't walk along my friends though, they walk like all day and far distances.

That's pretty disappointing to hear that it doesn't perform well.
Should have done my homework before deciding meh.

But it can be fixed i hope?

Now to look for a sexy case for my S7.

Spigen or UAG? leaning towards the UAG cause it looks pretty cool and is military grade.
But the Spigen looks very clean and stylish.

My dad has a Spigen on his S6 with a screen protector wich feels very nice!

EDIT: I got the phone, of course the first thing that needed to be done is................... installing Pokemon GO on it!

The damn thing got actually super hot to the touch, i thought it was about to explode but after 30min of use it went back to normal.
Not a damn clue what happened, it got very hot that it was uncomfortable to hold.

EDIT2: I'm buying this case, it's not that expensive and does the job just fine.

Anyone lose battery life? i feel like my phone is always draining. i restart weekly and clear my apps and ram periodically. A little bummed out about the lack of an IR though. I actually used it on my S5 and S6

Borrowed a work colleagues S7 (non-edge) to load it with Sophos MDM (BYOD), installed a couple of apps and this thing turned in to a oven. Needs better cooling.

TBH nothing beats S7 edge as a whole package, i do wonder if it possible to make waterproof dual stereo speakers, as that the lowest point of the S7, awful speaker and awful game performance due to sammy throttling on purpose, thanks god for ROOT.

Note 7 is sexy in design, but it does not have any ace over S7E, i might get it because of the design, but i honestly looking for improvement over S7E, sadly Note 7 is not the answer.

And yes, i yesterday got 7:20 sot with 1d 12h use, that battery is amazing.

if u going outside, 100% screen brightness and sun glares on your phone, yes it gonna get hot.

S7 does not have any overheat issue though, not even when using VR.

Also a side note. Was using Chrome and adblock browser. Now tried Samsung own browser with adblock.

Heat is less. Interesting. Samsung coded this for good?

Samsung browser is faster and more efficient than chrome, less taxing as well.

Should be getting my S7 tomorrow, upgrading from the S5

See how the cameras compare, S5 is pretty good at 16MP, was hoping for 16:9 like the S5 but guess I get used to 4:3

Heard people saying the detail isn't as sharp as previous S models, seen some conflicting sample images, some looking really bad and soft/blurred and some looking really sharp and almost DSLR quality

Anyone with the S7 got any tips for getting the best images? Main thing I use on my S5 is the camera and I'd heard the S7 had one of the best smartphone cameras going atm

It's not a huge issue to lose some default resolution and set it to 16:9 though, i could have left it as it was but less hassle to just change it to 16:9.

There is a fair amount of Samsung digital manipulation with the images that on the phone is jaw dropping until you realise its sharper than real life and on a very large TV is can look a tad noisy.

I wish i had some tips for the best image quality for set up shots but i don't, but it's easily the best camera for just getting a quick picture, which imho is much more important.

I have a young baby and about 90% of the pictures are keepers because of this phone which is what you want when you have a subject is a fast moving object.

wow they are clear indeed, thanks

And that was just left on Auto?

Been reading you can get considerably better quality by using the Pro mode, but if those above were on Auto, I don't see a problem

The thing that is confusing me are the sample images online, for example:

This one here, when you click for full size, it looks sort of softened and a bit blurred on the textures, even close up areas on the ground

    http://cdn0.mos.techradar.futurecdn...axy S7 Edge/Review/Camera/20160307_131637.jpg

But then you get this one, and full sized looks crisp and clear on the mat and everywhere

I know they are different subjects, inside vs outside, different lighting and distances etc, but the jelly beans one looks like it's taken with a different camera

Saying that, my S5 is way better at well lit, close up, than it is for outdoor distance shots

Well I will be happy with that, they look great to me, the hairs on the pig look very sharp and detailed, those green plants look extremely good quality too, and the cup on the railing

Well it's here, so time to play :D

I quite liked the dof on the cup one.

I'm sure better could be achieved by tinkering, but so could worse.
Everything looks great on the screen when you take it, but everything dues on the amoled screen.

I even like the Samsung browser.

    Happy new phone/toy day :)
