I did, no improvements. I bet Nvidia doesnt even bother tweaking it.

yah Fast Sync sounded good on paper.. in that it helped improve input lag.

But the fact that it can basically skip frames if the game is running significantly faster than the display refresh rate. This skipping frames can make the game feel stuttery or jittery if the fps jumps around a lot.

    This explains it well:

I haven't tested it but something like this would probably make sense to fps limit to double your refresh rate.

You don't have the option to enable it because it doesn't work with SLI AFAIK.

I think it doesn't work with SLI at the moment

FWIW, the latest build of Nvidia Inspector now has Fast Sync named as an option

Interesting, my Nvidia Profile Inspector says 2.12 and hasn't offered to update in a while (that i have noticed). It still shows the 0x18888888 under vsync options... I am still using 368.69 drivers though.

Profile Inspector doesn't provide update notifications by itself - which is a pity really since the program is updated quite regularly. See here for the latest build: https://ci.appveyor.com/project/Orbmu2k/nvidiaprofileinspector

I have that link in my Inspector thread. But perhaps I should move it to the top of the page.

Did you know that it's open source and anyone can participate in its development? =)

skyrim physics break over 60 fps anyways. if you play that game without a 60 fps cap, you will have funny and not so funny game breaking bugs.

Dito. The way it currently is is a bit of a hassle.
It would be cool to have the old button for profiles back that just launches profile inspector. And Profile inspector should have the update check as well.

Tried it again with the hotfix driver that just came out in GTA V. It doesn't feel as smooth as with normal v-sync & triple buffering, but the stutter seems to be gone.

Weird thing with this new driver though (only in GTA V so far), is if I have normal v-sync on, and the FPS is not exactly 60 it drops to 30, instead of just 50s. :3eyes:

Fast sync doesn't survive after reboot for me (and it seems not working...)

Now i got my 1070 i tried FastSync in a couple of Games that suffer from Mouse Lag with V-Sync On.

Doom (Demo) - Eliminates Menu Mouse Lag and no Stuttering and/or Tearing ingame.
Homeworld Remastered - Eliminates Mouse Lag and no Stuttering and/or Tearing ingame, but in Menus the Framerate isn't capped which makes the GPU squeal like a pig.

So there is downsides like the uncapped Menu Framerate in some Games.

    I'm using 368.95.
