Hello Guys, Anyone know how to fix error when playin BF4 using mantle ? . I mean some crashes and problem to run without clear cache ?. Im still using 16.5.1 and work flawless. Anybody run this game with new drivers.
You do not need to lower overclock. Crash on mantle in bf4 is among known issues in changelog of latest driver.
Yeah you either gotta delete the pipeline cache folder every single time before launch or you gotta revert to some older driver.
I run Mantle in eyefinity and have not made it work with newest drivers and will not play BF4 without it, I have tried every trick I know. Went back to 16.3 for mantle, would rather not play without mantle and am hoping for Vulkan for BF1. BaNsHiE
Mantle givin me around 30fps + , revert to DX11 its uselless. I hear about DLL injection on game dir . Anyone test this ? :>
Yes I have tested that, dropping mantle.dll in game directory sometimes works and sometimes not. Running core and memory clocks lower makes it stable after 12.11 Catalyst.... example would be stock 950 core, I run 925 and in my case there is no difference in performance but stops the mantle crashes and only clean cache folder when it does crash, once a week. my problem with mantle is that vram management is so bad (for my special setup, cfx 2gb) which makes texture swapping / caching to drop to about 5-10fps for a period of 10 seconds. that and the fact that you cant use sweetfx make the ~30fps loss in dx11 preferred over mantle...

Anyone are still playing BF4 with mantle here. I installed today the game, and I have a massive advantage using mantle. For me on siege of shangai with DX11 gives me 38-50FPS (bottleneck) and with mantle I have 50-80fps. Altough I have shadow corruption all over the place in all maps. I mean, the places where should be sun, there is a zebra shadow style. There is several lines of shadows on the floor. Is this happening to more people, and is there a workaround, I know that mantle is EOL and nobody is going to do anything about it, but, just want to know if someone is having this bug.
