Yeah, intent only decides something like a red card. France deserved the win from what i saw, the German's looked dangerous for a bit but couldn't do much.
Why's messi in jail? About the penalty: to me it seemed intentional, you never jump into the effing air with hands like that. Though in the italy - germany game in the earlier quarter of the game, boateng blocked the ball as well with his hands down and the referee didn't give a penalty. The ball even changed its course due to that, and no penalty.
Good match so far. lots of spirit , no chess game going on. Can see either one win at this point. Unfortunate accident with Ronaldo. Spoiler
great! wanted our bros to win D:, plus I dislike france only winning when hosting the tournament... (plus only spa and ger with 3 euros )
Congrats to portugal. It was a very tight game win could go to either side Overal it was a mediocre game, only the first half was pretty good. less mistakes great pase. It must be the moths lol Glad it didnt end in penalties though, the game seemed to last forever
Pretty sucky game, both sides were afraid to go for it. Congrats to Portugal though, really happy they won it. France had no place in the final, played average football all tournament and were poor against Germany. Portugal also failed to spark up but their entire game was built upon not conceding and then seeing if they can score. Happy for Ronaldo, was gutted to see him go off, after trying to stay on multiple times. Pogba... United just bought him for 2 shillings. He'll sit on the bench.
This Euro proved that´s possible for an extremely average team to win this tournament just be being (extremely) lucky!!! Even Ronaldo´s injury helped Portugal otherwise they would have lost!... Normally i would blast a team playing like this but since i´m portuguese i´m gonna let this one pass, because: :hatty::hatty::hatty:WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS! WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!! :hatty::hatty::hatty: You guys know the rest.
If Ronaldo stayed on it would have been 10 nil Portugal. Disclaimer: The above claim is about as accurate as the one claiming they would have lost with him on the pitch. Enjoy mate, Portugal must be one crazy place to be right now!
Of course. I only say this because eveytime Ronaldo plays, his team mates are more concerned about giving him the ball, even if there are others free of marking, than in doing what´s best for the team and in the end the team plays worse and loses because of that. It happens in every team that has a superstar player, look at Argentina, Sweden and even France with Pogba... Basically Portugal plays better without his best player!... Crazy i know but football is a team sport. And if Ronaldo didn´t left the game injured, Eder would probably stayed in the bench like he did in all the other games... Of course it also helped that France was more concerned about losing the game than actually win it...
That was the most boring Euro's i can ever remember watching. Too many teams in the competition. The group stages nothing really to play for as only 8 teams went out, out of 6 groups. Then the knockout stages pitted most of the top teams in the same half of the draw. Go back to the old formula less teams better games better competition.
