Mine reached a max of 1700 while playing. But i don't have any microstutters of any sort in any games i've played.

What would be a normal latency to have ?

Would something like this affect benchmarking?

Don't know about the score, but visualy i see the damn stuttering in the benchmarks and it is annoying as hell even though i have 100+ fps

Was curious...My Firestrike score is a little low and I do see stuttering that I never saw with my last card. Out now so cannot do the latency test. Will try later.

    Thanks

I loaded up LatencyMon since I'm on Win10, I believe the other app isn't properly supported in the new OS. I see the issue in the nVidia driver with my 1070 just sitting idle at desktop.

    Link - LatencyMon Results

Granted I've never really tuned this system for low latency in the other drivers, but I included the list so you can see just how much longer the nVidia driver is taking compared to the others. I dont seem to notice too much stuttering ingame - there is some occasionally, but I just switched over from a 290x and I've been playing a lot of nvidia optimized games so I don't really know what to expect.

This isn't related to the new default 'optimal power' settings I mention ... is it?

My setup produces the same latency results in all of the three power management modes in the nVidia control panel.

So does this affect all GP104 parts? I hope not, because I just ordered a Zotac GTX 1080 Amp Extreme..

Don't take those tests into consideration much, i never had any microstutters with my card.Even though i get 1000+ latency while gaming.
