As we close in on the Radeon RX 480 release, some news on the 490 has surfaced. On the AMD website there is a promotiopn page, that promotion page ends December 2016, and the Radeon RX 490 is listed o... Radeon RX 490 listed at AMD page indicates release in 2016
I was under the impression that there were two Vega's, 10 and 11. If one is called RX 490, will the higher end keep the Fury moniker ? If its the lower one, it will most likely be GDDR5X.
AMD is skipping gddr5x all around. Both Vega 10 and 11 should use HBM2. As you said, we should see Vega 10 RX490 and Vega 11 (next Fury).
it's not so simple as it is 2 differents version of GPU (see NVidia with the 2 Pascal version). i hope for AMD that next Fury have more :3eyes: ... you know lol
Yes. Given that I am such a glutton for graphical fidelity and that VR software development is so slow to embrace SLI then I might as well get a Ti or similar AMD card. I am finding cases in which the utilization of just one GTX 980 is producing visual jitter and lag which I hate to smithereens. My eyes and stomach deserve better.
