That is a great ol jump. 60$ to 88$ from 235$ (175£). Would be rather massive 40-60 I would almost understand.

Why didn't you think that £175 wasn't a good price for the 4GB model? It's replacing the 380X after all

 

No one said £175 isnt good. Its great! Costs as much as 380X and gtx960.

8GB ver costs as much as gtx970. You have double the vram buffer and overall similiar performance with alot of room for optimizations and improvement. Maxwell tops out, 970 will stay where is now.

 

Yup against a 970 with 1300+ core lose some win some. Lose hard in games where amd has been losing hard it seems. But then again that 40% pixel fill rate difference and the fact that reference card seems to overclock nada and the 970 will go from that 1300 to 1500+.

Of course that 970 @ 1300+ will be also using nearly that 170 watts also.

 

The price is lower than i was expecting, the performance is also lower.

Still a great card for the money, whether anyone would pick it over a 970 is down to how much you value PC gaming back catalog.

 

cant really over clock that 480 much with such low max wattage.

it like trying to overclock a 140watt processor on a 95 watt board...
its going to get hot.......and more...

so I paid $30 more for a 390x card.

Extremely disappointing for something that comes with total trash cooling.

 

Yeah the prices are lower in the UK where they had to increase them because of the whole Brexit and USD/GBP thing. Those prices are the epitome of ripoff.

 

Every card on that site is extremely expensive. You guys at Finland are really screwed.
