Hey now check that out ... does Nvidia have a direct answer ready for tomorrows AMD RX 480 release ? It seems so as a GeForce GTX 1060 has been photographed on a Hong Kong market. ... GeForce GTX 1060 Spotted in Hong Kong
I already said it once somewhere on this forum - somehow Nvidia brilliantly managed the whole Pascal release. So I am not even surprised tis time they are ready to spoil mid-range party for AMD.
. maxwell on speed. No new tech here except for the memory compression. thats pretty much the same for 1070 and the 1080 I cant see this competing with the rx480 but we will see. LOL @ the timing hoping people will wait. lol people are still waiting for the 1070 and 1080s. talk paper launch talk about a none starter
Fake or not, 1060 is late. Knowing nvidia it will pricy as well. Probably around 300-350$ depending on the Vram buffer.
Late for what? All Nvidia have to do right now is leak or announce the 1060 to make people think twice about buying the 480. Also $350? You know 1070 is $379? Such nonsense.
Wut? 1070 is 379$? We going on again about this? Everyone here knows 1070 costs like 500$ here in EU.
wat nonsense? with a 192 bus it will be 6gb and 256bit its gonna be 8, unless nv decides to do cheaper units with half the vram (3 and 4), or x60 being 192 with 3 or 6, and x60ti 256 with 4 or 8gb.
It's funny how you post in dollars in one post, then start going on about euros. Cheapest 1070 on newegg is a Gigabyte AIB for $399. None of the 1070 are in stock atm, the card is selling like crazy, hence the slight premium. Still, $20 over the MSRP is not too shabby and once the market settles a little bit they will cost sub $379. About the EU pricing, yep, it's a bit crazy atm, needs a bit of time to settle. Again, I'm asking you for consistency, don't start going from $ to Eur whenever it suits you. How much do you think the 480 will cost in EU btw?
I'll let you know tommorow. Also, one favor from you. Dont post me US prices ever again. I simply dont care whats going on there and neither should you.
http://imgur.com/a/x7Ekk - 1€ = 7.4 DKK - so the cheapest is 500€ here. The price in $US is generally helpful in that if you multiply the number by 10, you get the price in local danish currency. So 379$ (imagined) for GTX 1070 is 3790 DKK. I imagine the RX 480 will be around 2000 DKK, aka 270€. So yea, US prices are pretty useless, except for that old "rule of thumb" for danish pricing. Bonus info: 1080s are a minimum of 800€.
