The lady is in the right... Windows 10 was forced via Windows update if Updates were set to automatic in Windows 7, it's widely reported and I'm guessing there will be more legal action now that there has been a first, kind of hope there will be to be honest.

Windows 10 is not an update for Windows 7 lol, a new OS yes, but not a Windows 7 update xD

 

So... where's my 10k? I was smart enough to not install it, but still, where's my money? They take our jobs!

 

I do not feel one bit sorry for M$ after they changed the function function of the X in the top right of the "upgrade" window from Close --> Start Install with no way to back out...

They deserve a Flood of court cases for that one lol

 

Too much compensation, MS should only cover cost of new laptop? All this does is open flood gates for more claims.

 

The laptop was used to run a business, the compensation is from interfering with a business due to the laptop being rendered useless by the forced installation of Windows 10, which rendered the laptop unusable.

NOt everyone are geeks in computers&gaming as most of you.

As a laptop used for bussines this is a worst nightmare if your database or some documents are broken or stolen because M$$$ dont give a damn about security policy or privacy.

Its not a big money she won,but next time M$$$ maybe will proceed with caution.

Reverting Windows 10 does not always work. I had a system come in were the client tried doing a roll back and it errored during the process leaving them with a Brick!

 

Why didn't I think of this

Win 10 crashed my business system. I should have thought of this. Useless operating system none the less.

 

Totally useless people more like.

I don't understand some people who have to have the very latest and greatest yet they are stuck on a 10+ year old OS.

MS just wants everybody on the same OS because old OSes will become more of a security risk as time goes by.

Of course they are in it for the money but i think very kind of them to give it away for free in the first place.

I have a really old laptop with a single core and 2gb of ram that my misses uses sometimes for browsing and playing FB games. I got Win 10 working on it fine.

In fact it actually runs much better with 10 over Vista that was on it.

 

Using a small claims court too so no major money needed for a lawyer very good. Lets get the ball rolling a scr3w microsoft for every cent they deserve for this
