Awsome performance on that Fury X , very nice indeed. i wonder if i re-downloaded the whole game again and the patch all at once lol
Now that its in good shape I finally decided to buy it.. Also it was kinda cheap for 19.90€ @ kinguin
It's a great game, the only thing that i find a little annoying is in the replay. The way that the camera switches through all the different cams..who want's too look at the wheels, the rear end spoiler or backwards during a replay. it's just stupid. Why not give us the option to choose tv cam and make it stay there.
Enjoy it Rich_Guy it is a very well optimized game , after the latest patch it runs smnooth as butter.
Patch 1.2 Released - Oculus Rift Support 10+ GB download. Yeah, shame it doesn't work in Xfire anymore, still, runs well on a single, at the same settings.
Thanks for the heads up old friend , updated now. Will test later during the day and will give feedback on this new patch.
LOL yea quite laughable. The WRC games are fun but thats about it. They are nothing great though. Graphics are and physics are average.
Because they are imitating tony scott and micheal bay direction during the 80s and 90s slick style of filming, i remember the 80s movies had these camera on the wheel, side of the car etc, i liked that a lot it gives it a sleek look and artsy, shame tony scott is not with us anymore., anw back on topic xd
How much more simulation-like is this compared to previous Dirt games and can this game at all be played with a controller or a keyboard in your opinion? I really like Dirt games and rally is by far my favourite event so this game would be right up my alley.
It plays fine on keyboard, I always played Collin McRae on keyboard since v3 or v4 and this one isn't any different compared to other Dirt series. It has a ton of settings to configure car handling to your liking. It can be very demanding or more arcade'ish, but if its more simulation like then get ready for a lot of spinning around and crashing of cliffs
Thanks! Sounds good then, I'm the same as you, play Dirt on KB as it feels way more responsive and precise than controller. Though ofc you sacrifice pressure-sensitive input so using ABS brakes is a must pretty much I play Dirt games with all assists disabled except ABS and automatic gears. Interesting to see how much practice I need to get the hang of this.
