not true, Mad Max had the best crossfire scaling ever, solid locked flawless 95% on both cards to get 144fps constant at 1440p with every setting at it's peak. Ive never seen any game do crossfire better than mad max, BF4 was very very good also though.

The best scaling ever? So does it scale at 95% across 4 gpus as well?

I think he was talking about 2 cards, not 4 :p

By the best scaling ever i would understand same level of scaling on 2 gpu setups, 3 gpu setups and 4 gpu setups :)

New patch, but did not change anything regarding this problem... I have a sort of vacation atm and would love to play all of witcher 3, but with half the perfomance, it is not that doable. Might sell my 7990 and go for a RX480 after the reviews of that card are out and performance seems at least 390x or something.

The problem could be on AMD side. This game was never crossfire friendly, and because this is Nvidia game, Devs never bothered to fix it.

The problem was caused by the new HUD improvements and not by AMD. although, it might be up to AMD to fix this, if CD projekt doesn't wan't to change the hud.

"because this is Nvidia game, Devs never bothered to fix it." you base this on what exactly?

Gameworks stuff in it. It's never a good sign for AMD.
But it's really weird that only the health bar is causing performance issues with crossfire. The rest of the hud doesn't do that.

That's a bit debatable, considering that the HUD never worked 100% properly with CF. Things have always been flickering, ever since CF support came out, at least for me. The new development is the horrible performance issue with the health bar, but the HUD has always had problems in CF.

I have not purchased the game yet....

I don't have many issues with crossfire on my computer.
However, usually I buy the game so late that the issues have been fixed.
But yes I have not purchased The Witcher 3 yet...

Most of my crossfire issues are because of a necessary driver reinstall with DDU to do a complete driver removal.

I am Just waiting for the complete/enhanced/GOTY edition of TW3.
Maybe by then crossfire will be better.....

    crossfire wasn't "broken" before.
i just tested 16.6.2 and it's the same performance on my end. 1440p @ 60fps
i had this performance since 16.3.2 at least

We (or at least I am) are talking about the specific issue of extreme stutter with the health bar enabled after the latest patch for Witcher 3 on 15 june. Now, with the new driver, I can have the health bar enabled and the Witcher 3 still is smooth again.

I can confirm. The health bar is causing any problems anymore.

You are just lucky man ;)

You seem to be the only one with xfire and no issues....But if I recall, you also have it tweaked pretty hard too. But still, good on you haha.

    Testing the new driver....NOW!

    cheers
